Seems a bit premature to have formulated a strong perspective if you just did a national survey. Takes us weeks at work to crunch stuff like that.

Happens all the time.
ECNL has no power without the support of governing bodies.

I heard back in 2016 USYS was not happy about the switch to BY, thought it was a mistake, and in prior attempts to rally support to switch back they were leading the charge. If their opinion now has changed to the extent that they are the roadblock, the pro-GY people lost one of their biggest allies.
couple years that would result in a change in the point of view? They have the data concerning the impact and it’s doubtful it changed much.

The reason we have not heard anything about this is because the momentum that ECNL had back in May is gone. ECNL and USSF have not had talks about this in months. The post on twitter this was happening came from ECNL directors when it seemed like a possibility was posted prematurely which is why it’s been crickets about the topic.
The reason no announcement has happened is because you don’t announce things are staying the same? To change to back will only create headaches that nobody wants to deal with.
Sorry Aug to December families especially girls. But your kid was born in the wrong months will have to just work harder and hope it all works out.
Grad Year is officially dead!

I am baffled people think this is going to be difficult to roll out. A decent percentage of older Q4 kids will stay where they are but some will drop down an age bracket. There is always lots of movement in the younger age brackets this will just be part of the regular yearly shuffle. It's not tricky.

If the people pointing to the need for USYS approval really mean US Soccer approval, I could understand that line of thinking since US Soccer is the governing body responsible for overseeing all of soccer in this country. But if US Soccer actually had that kind of power, wouldn't they have done away with the alphabet soup of leagues a long time ago and rolled up all the ECNL's, GA's, DPL's, NPL's, EDP's, USYS National Leagues, EA's, MLS's, NAL's, and even local leagues like NECSL into one consolidated structure? They've been as toothless as your Granny, don't see them forcing ECNL to use BY if ECNL doesn't want to.

They answer to college coaches and the families trying to get their kids in front of those coaches. No idea what text or screenshot or message in a bottle you were privy to but as far as the ECNL and GA are concerned it's happening.

So many conflicting reports from anonymous people who claim to be in the know ... leaves no choice but to just prepare for either outcome and wait.
