You don't even know the kid's age but you're certain it's Star Blue, you're certain it's ECNL and you're certain the price has gone up by a couple hundred? Okay.

It depends on the ECRL team. I know some offers went out yesterday.

It is clear as day to anyone who is willing to see it. Many people are not willing. You appear to be one of the unwilling.
What I see is ECRL coaches trying hard to recruit players by selling the ECNL name. ECRL is not the same as ECNL. I know that very well because my daughter played ECRL. It is a great and competitive league, but Stars White ECRL, Blue ECRL, or Scorpions ECRL are not the same as NEFC or even Seacoast GA. It is simply not the same. Are there great teams and players in the ECRL league? Of course, just as there are great players and teams playing DPL, etc. Is ECRL currently better than DPL? Yes, I think so. Is ECNL currently better than GA? Yes, I think so, but in both leagues you will be playing at an elite level. Is ECRL currently at the same level as GA? Absolutely not.

Having said that, pick a team and a coach that cares for your player, is interested in developing her, and more than anything else, where she feels happier. That is what matters the most in my opinion.

I can only comment on Stars 2010.

white ECRL- offers started coming out yesterday
blue ECRL- offers start coming out on Monday

white and blue National- still have tryouts on Friday likely earliest offers come out is Friday evening earliest but likely also not until Mon.
lots of players coming to tryouts from outside the club CFC and NEFC.
Coaches are working over time figuring out which blue regional players to pull up to white or blue, which blue players to move to white or regional, and which white players to head to blue.
lots of anxiety amongst all the ECNL and ECRL players with the movement , new coaches etc.

                Yes.

Also, the generic league comparisons are inevitably misleading. Because the choice is between specific teams. For example, in a specific age group, is Stars White ECNL better for your player than NEFC GA? In our case the answer was no, NEFC is better. That is more the question, than "is ECNL better than GA."

Is this first time where there has been a combine (blue/white with regionals) plus invited players from outside club,

do you think it’s the result of 2010 Blue complete debacle of a season

It’s the consolidation year. 8th grade. It’s just time. The regional blue team is very good, but they aren’t going to be able to hold on to the girls that are better than white. The white players better than blue also need to move up. SM would not let the movement happen last year. KM fired also screwed up the timeline for movement. Players didn’t want to leave blue for white because they didn’t want SM. Players left who thought they might get moved down. It was a mess. This year SM is out and the Blue regional coach who brought that team now two years to playoffs is the white national coach. Players are happy to join his team even if it means dropping to white. It’s all a good thing. Stressful but needed.

Yes, you are correct. Not sure if daughter is a 2012 or 2011. Sometimes hard to remember exact ages of other peoples kids but definitely blue national. Hoping offers for other ages are out soon. It’s hard waiting.

New tryout added for Tuesday. Offers will likely be after that third tryout now I assume.

Agree with all except GA is NOT an elite level. Nope. No way. Uh uhn.

2011 Blue National will not start coming out until Friday. At least as per what we have been told. My kids may come later but the no doubt kids haven’t seen theirs yet either.

It is a result of having quality kids on both Blue and White and neither having a well rounded full team. Also a result of not fully trusting the reviews of either current coach.

There will be significant movement between white and blue national, mostly already decided. Final count depends on how the out of club kids look, some are from out of region and are unknown quantities, and which ones head to blue or white. Then it further depends on who leaves the club, or decides to go back to their old club, if they are not given offers that they want. More departures mean more White National spots for the current Regional girls. This is why offers will come out in waves.

Kids were initially told nothing until at least tomorrow but a 3rd combined session was added for sometime early next week, so that may have changed.
