Assuming all clubs will have offers out within next 3 weeks. We will enjoy the quiet on here until then?

Where did you get that info? Select has started offers. The new RI GA clubs will be gabbing anyone they can asap as they are fighting an uphill battle. Scorps will start early offers soon and finalize rosters in 3 weeks. Stars wont make offers until last.

Yeah, I heard Select was giving offers to new players this week, current players starting next week. This is just sideline chatter but seems reasonable.

Have you considered taking a step back if it's too much?

really need to have a "commitment day" that all clubs are forced to follow. Tryouts when ever you want, but no one is allowed to make a commitment, and no money can change hands, before the designated date

I would never want to be a middle school aged coach of any level team.

Also how can you assess a player in just one scrimmage if everyone is competing against each other and so nobody will pass the ball and own players steal the ball?
Stars current players are lucky because by the time they have tryouts all the good players will be snatched up by the other clubs. So they don't need to worry about being cut.

ECNL cannot make offers to other clubs ECNL players until after May1
SSS does not count as ECNL until next season starts so they don’t have to follow the rules yet.

Sounds like you want to be the commissioner of youth soccer and govern all the leagues. I do not want to follow a deadline that you are proposing. If a player wants to attend a few training sessions with different teams and take their time to decide where to play then that’s there prerogative. It’s not a good indication if a family/player is hesitant or not sure about there current team. Either you want to return or not.

Team has ranked their players. Say 1 through 18. They look at external players and know that they now have 6 signed up that they feel are better than the bottom 6 of their current players. Now they know to only offer 12 current players. If that had offered current players first, they wouldn’t know where to cut off the offers. They would have then offered maybe 10 current players, knowing there were maybe 4 definite cuts and 4 bubble players. All 18 sets of parents would have talked and chaos and insecurity would have reigned. This way, all 18 decisions are levied all at once.
