Truer words have never been spoken.

I wonder if they will rise to the Stars level of transparency and post coaching assignments, rosters and college commits to their social media accounts?

Or if they will continue to maintain complete communication blackouts letting families wonder what their college commit stats are, who is in what team and guess who their coach may be.

Obvi they need to set the top teams first and then adjust. Same as every other club. ECNL letters went out last week.

You want rosters posted to social media? That’s weird.

Stars gives ECRL offers first. ECNL last.
The ECRL players moving to ECNL are told they can accept the National spot after accepting the regional. They just transfer the registration.

No this is just the practice for players who are on the bubble and have been practicing with National but play on a current regional team. The new coaches, just announced today, will evaluate current team, possible incoming players from regional and from other clubs. They have 5 teams between ECNL, ECRL, ECRL2, to fill rosters and move up or down players.

I’d be happy with actual dates for offers, lists of coaches, lists by year and team of actual college commitments.

not sure why it’s weird though. ODP is blasts their rosters across the state. You’d think at a primary level they’d at least highlight transparency and at a base level they’d eliminate the sideline whispers about who landed where. Be open, transparent and confident in your selections not secretive.

Just to clarify, younger SSS players received ECNL offers already?

So anything claiming tryouts dates are just for lower level teams?

clubs are working well behind the scenes to get verbal offers out. trust me..the top teams are making those calls.

This is the year of big movement for 2010s. Consolidation of talent. More national options with GA additions. More regional options as well. 8th graders are deciding if they want to continue club soccer in high school, and multi sport players are prioritizing which sport to focus on. I would think coaches would want to talk to players earlier than later to find out who is serious about returning and what level of commitment they will be able to offer their team. If a coach is considering two players for a national team they need to look at which player is committed to year round trainings, games and fitness. Seen too many players hit high school with already too much on their plate then they add higher academics and boyfriends and soccer falls behind. Coaches also need to take a step back from themselves and look at future player potential. Do they have technical players on their team who haven’t hit puberty as early as others therefore smaller and less physical. Can they bring those players along? Seen coaches make the mistake of overlooking players who have later bloomed and came into their body and confidence but have moved clubs etc after being overlooked. I would guess 2011, 2010, 2009 coaches are working overtime fine tuning ECNL and ECRL offers. I would expect offers for ECRL and ECNL sooner than later with parents having more options of clubs to go to with regional and national pathways.

Why talk about things you don’t know?
