True. No one scored. AB dominated the game. Just can't finish. Actually they didn't even have that many shots. No use in possessing if you don't shoot.

I feel like this is gloating that CS won, I didn't see any gloating when EB beat them in their first match. Doubtful anyone from CS since everyone knows each other anyway. They're 1-1, making them pretty even.

I know EB's senior has gotten a lot of hype this year but it's not just her playing. There are plenty of other good players out there, this team isn't going to fade once the seniors graduate like some others. I do think one or two are on the team due to family connections but the others all belong and prove it.

Duxbury @ Hingham should be a pretty decent game today as well.

Any of the teams mentioned have the potential to get some breaks and win the four games necessary to emerge as the North Champion. From what I have seen, and I have seen most of these teams now, this is how I would handicapmy top 5 going into the North D1 tournament:

Lincoln/ Sudbury. They are my current favorites. They have a solid group of performers with the best overall collection of soccer talent in the bunch. My only concern is the lack of deep tourney experience and the fact that they have yet to play an effective agressive, physical and direct team. they will need to beat that type of opponent to earn a title.

Peabody. A very experienced core of players and the best overall player in the region make the Tanners a top threat to finally win a title. They suffer from playing a very weak regular schedule and adjusting to big turf fields for latter round games.

Central Catholic. The defending champs have an excellent shot to repeat. They will need some breaks but they play the type of defensive style and with the intensity that is typically succesful in the semis and fnals. They lack a real consistent scoring threat and could struggle against teams that can keep the ball on the ground against them.

Andover. We will see if Andover is the real deal during the last part of the regular season. Having watched them play, I am not sure that they can wn four in a row against good competition, so their draw will be key. But they have surprised all year and if they come into the tourney on a high note (with wins over CC, Masco and Danvers) they can contend.

Lexington. Another talented side that can play solid possession. They have quietly strung together a great season and will enetr the tourney with some momentum. I do think the Midd is down and the other favorites are probably a little better.

Otheres that can win it: Winchester, Westford and yes A/B is a long shot.
Harry, Which of these teams do you think has the toughest schedule?

It isn't really about "toughest" but "tough enough". The improvement in the Merrimack Valley (and stronger non-leage slates) mean that Andover and Central play tough enough schedules to be OK in the tourney. Same is true for Lexington. Lincoln Sudbury is a bit more of a question mark. Typically the DCL is strong enough to be OK on its own ( L/S plays only DCL teams) but it makes it very hard to see how L/S compares. Peabody has a very weak schedule.

So, you would suggest that Central and Andover play the most difficult schdule due to the improved level of play in MVC and thier non league games are "stronger " than the others?

And how do you break a tie? Weymouth and Newton North are tied for first in the BSL Carey Division with a few more games to play . . .

No need to break a tie, Weymouth is in sole possession after a convincing 4-1 win last Friday. Newton north has also lost again since then.

sloppy game , I think after wAthching this , a 3 ref unit is needed. Many calls missed many made and game sloppy. I think teams pretty equal, but I give a bit more to Andover, they did have more opportunity to score and missed , the one touch passing of Andover was good. Cc did not give up but lack of attack from up front was obvious They were slow up front and it hurt them. Not sure who had more shots on net , but I would guess Andover. Both teams had good defense, strong girls. But Andover won in keeping ball on ground ,n , and one touch passing Cc won in long balls
