This 5-0 loss was a first shutout, and with St. Marks coming off of their bad result against Nobles they seemed really up to correct their performance level yesterday.
Huh??? Who are you talking about. I can't follow your post.

Looks like the 6-0 was Nobles beating St. Georges. But the point was about St. Marks resurgence, again. Yawn...

Does anyone know who is in class A-B-C and what the standings are by class?

May be the best player her age in New England

Did not realize who the SM national team player was until someone posted initials SN. If it is who I think it is, my daughter's team has played against her for many years (club soccer) and she is the real deal. Works very hard at her game and is also naturally gifted and strong. Terrific player. IMO the best player in her age group that I have seen play..including at national level tournaments. Perhaps there are some older players in ISL as good or better...but I doubt there are many (if any).

                ISL Girls 2011

Have witnessed her play on many occasions and came away with these observations.....
                Terrific skillset
                Strong shot
                Has knack for open space
                Never defends
When challenged physically, does not rise up.....which is surprising since she is so big.

Speed and agressiveness......two things that can't be taught!

Lol....resurgence, that would require them having been competitive in the past, not sure they have been.

Go to NEPSAC.OR. You can find a list of schools by class under the GIRLS SOCCER tab. Schools are not ranked during the season.

The Globe has a HS "standings" page that includes ISL schools. I'm posting it since I don't think a lot of people know about it. I didn't until a few days ago. Here you go:

I have excerpted somewhat stale information from NEPSAC web site below concerning classes for girls’ soccer. I believe Groton is now in Class B and Worcester is in Class A and there could be other changes.

There is no single location that lists standings in respective classes so only way to get idea of relative strengths and playoff possibilities is to go to individual school’s web site and compare records and caliber of opponents. It is probably too early to do that anyway, particularly for ISL schools where some of the top competitors have not played each other yet (Nobles vs. Rivers for instance).

Yes and that is why the lead in stated " I have excerpted somewhat stale information from NEPSAC web site below concerning classes for girls’ soccer. I believe Groton is now Class B and Worcester is Class A."

The 2011 information is not published anywhere publicly as far as I can tell, but if you have it or a link, please share it. There may be 1 or 2 other changes besides the ones noted above, but otherwise the 2010 list is still accurate.
