NEFC blew their own horn loudly at this age but Stars rise to the top.
    Good development there.
Thought the Stars grabbed a strong player from Scorpions West (ESA) Under 11 team.
Many funny bounces in the rain today, nice win !!

Stars pretty much proved that they are the class of this division. They are the best team in the state at U12G and proved it yesterday.

Would like opinions of Stars coach T.P.? Please don't turn this into a trashing session. What is his coaching/training style? Would like to hear more from families whom kids have played for him, rather than rumor and speculation.

Stars played a good match yesterday. NEFC Z played poorly in second half after controlling field of play for much of first half. Expect a strong rematch in end of season tournament.

4-1 doesnt sound like NEFC controlled anything

If I had another daughter who was skilled at soccer, I'd line up to have TP as her coach. He's done a great job developing my current U12. He's even keeled, doesn't go off when they play not-so-well (game vs. WU) or go ga-ga when they dominate a team like NEFC Z, as was the case yesterday.

I agree and I have only seen him in action a few times, I can't see driving all that way for my 11yr old though.

Exactly, this is why the West will never play at this level. If you want your child to play for the true Stars, the parents and the player must be 100% committed. Having your child play another sport is acceptable as long as Stars practices and games are # 1. The player does not miss anything associated with the the team. Going to tourneys is not a choice. You go or play somewhere else. If you have a child who is committed to soccer then there is no better place to play and no better coach to play for.

This is a good point to see how Stars West builds their first U13 team. If RL is going to take a majority of Pioneers players what is he going to get. That team is made up of entitled parents who think soccer revolves around only their child. They think the team is their team. That they can make decisions. If the other half is going to come from WU then that will not work. Are they going to take all the players hand picked by the WU team manager. This just has failure written all over it. This team can have no semblance of either Pioneers or WU. Need a lot of fresh faces and eliminate all the bad parents.

Based on the 4-5 games I have seen and the players I have heard that are coming to Stars West from the Pioneers and Western, they may very well be better then the true Stars. Should be a great rivalry and I will bring some popcorn to the first match and sit back and enjoy.
