Lets hope RL picks the best players and gets rid of all the politics out there. I would not think that RL will listen to any parent who tells him who is a good player or is not. He is better than that.

Stars parents are saying "See you all at tryouts" til one of them slips to the TP bench, or all the way down to the 2nd team. Only so many slots on a team.

The team is already picked and players committed and I don't see that he avoided this issue for this coming season. He has a very good team, but the parents, several of whom have regularly posted here, are not the kind to just sit back and watch if things don't go exactly as planned. WU and Pioneers have already blown up so why would we think this team made up of the best of them, is going to be any different?

If the other half is going to come from WU then that will not work. Are they going to take all the players hand picked by the WU team manager. This just has failure written all over it. This team can have no semblance of either Pioneers or WU. Need a lot of fresh faces and eliminate all the bad parents.
Yes, the WU team manger directed it and so her determination of who were the best WU players got invited to the clinics and ultimately invited to play for RL. RL did not see all of the Pioneers or WU players or any other players from Western MA that weren't in the know. Pioneers got so bad they drove their coach out of soccer after many successful seasons. WU coach was not a novice either. Are Pioneers and WU oil and water, only time will tell. History suggests that if this team does very well, they will be OK but if not their will be revolt and next year there will be a scattering of the good talent all over again.

He is better than what? RL "the snake" won't last long! What is going on is bush league and should get him a nice ban from all leagues! With that said he isn't a bad coach(nothing great) but how many teams can he coach with 100% effort on his part? Your all being sold a bag of crap! The parents from both clubs are blind if they think the grass will be greener at Stars West. Both coaches at WU and Pioneers should be ashamed of how they have dealt with this season but more so how the parents are now dealing with it. Another point is the niether club should have let it get this far. They should have been on top of the 2 coaches from the begining.

I do wish all the girls that go to Stars West the best! I hope RL doesn't leave you all behind when something better comes his way! Although you may be lucky because I am pretty sure he has burnt every bridge in Western Mass. Buyer beware!

Don't know the player and its a bit harsh to criticize a 12 year old, but it doesn't take rocket science to see how a dissatisfied manager of a player who they might think is much better than they might actually be might stir the pot and look elsewhere. Gets their superstar on a different team surrounded by better players. Sort of the ugly side of club soccer 101, no? Next year I am thinking NEFC or Scorpions West?

I am the team mgr for WU- thanks for bashing my 11yr old daughter, grow up! I'm sure your daughter isn't any better.

I feel I need to set the record straight. Noone is recruiting anyone to come to these trainings, my daughter has been doing the trainings and really enjoys them (none of noone's business)- I did not pick up any kids to come to the trainings, they are being brought themselves. SO you can continue to bash me/RL and whoever else behind an unregistered TS forum but I'm sure the same one running their mouth knows where I live and my phone #- give me a call if you want to know to talk.

                  Have a great day- Heidi

You are kidding right? RL is known in the Massachusetts soccer world as one of the most "Politically swayed" coach out there.
