They should offer trainings... no doubt! They should not be going after other clubs players mid season. All in all it really doesn't matter as it is obvious that you have the same moral background as your soon to be coach. It will be funny to see when your baby-sitting his kids while he is off trying to land a college job or sucking up to some college coach and his wife is coaching your little Mia. All the while you are filling his pockets! Good luck! BTW I am not mad at the Stars. I bet if JD knew what was really going on your new coach would be out on the street! Some blame is due to Western and Pio's but more to the ingnorant parents putting the players in this situation just like you!

I don't think AS would work with RL. RL has nothing to offer the boys.

Your are obviously angry. Please take a breath. I won't stoop to calling you ignorant, however your post has holes. There are two clubs in this area. You cited them. RL and the Stars didn't come recruiting anyone from those clubs. They offered training and you apparently agree that they should. The training began during the winter break, not mid season. Players are free to leave their club for another during the winter break. Some have. I was unhappy with what was being offered by my daughter's club. I looked for more for her. I am happy with what was offered so we are free to leave if we want. If our club offered training over the winter break, then all this would probably be moot. You should just let it go. Please put the hostility aside and look at it for what it is. Families seeking out more/better situations for their kids.

Different does not mean better, Weak excuses for validating these training sessions.Poaching is poaching , recruiting is recruiting. Keep trying to justify to yourself that this is okay.

Everyone is all in a tizzy over this Stars West thing because it is all the best players in the U12 age group in Western Mass showing up, RL is brilliant. I think the disgruntled ones are parents of kids who are on the bubble.

Did PM unveil his "11 in the box" defense with the U12's yet? He employed the "I don't mind losing, as long as it's not embarrassing and doesn't hurt recruiting" strategy it to some degree of success this spring with his U13's, they "held" their opponents to 11 goals. The down side is of course, they didn't score any.

Not really, its the way it is being done that is appalling. BTW way it is many of the better players out there, but from what I have heard, it is hardly ALL of the best.

So, with WU and PIONEERS U13 rising teams merging together, where will the best go, if not to STARS WEST?

Some of the better players are not going to leave their teams. No word on the U12 who got moved up to the U13 WU team. I doubt the guest players Pioneers kept using including the ODP player will go but who knows. We played them in MAPLE without those players and they were not the same team without them so they were impact players. Also I saw that FCMASS-SDA team play at Lancanster and at the NEFC tournamint and they have another 1-2 players who would be equal to or better then some of the players we hear are going to stars west. SO some players will be loyal, some are not even in the nix at this point. They have a lot of the pieces, but not all of them.

why doesn't everyone just stop giving there opinions on this group. tryout are coming soon and it will all sort it self out. just do what is best for your daughter and it all work out.

saw stars play , they have a girl with pigtails that plays unbelievable , one of the smaller girls on that team but you wouldnt know it the way she plays

Excuse me oh bag o' douche'....say what you will, its not my kid's team but isn't that the same guy who got two groups into the blue division from NOTHING? And there are others behind those groups too. Not the same economics on the south coast and PM built a great program in almost no time and primarily by himself. The numbers don't always tell the true story. My daughter plays for another one of his teams and I'll tell you that every kid down there genuinely likes the guy and the parents respect the effort he has put forth. We're leaving ONLY because AAU basketball and club soccer is too much on her body (and obviously "schedules") but I'm leaving with only good things to say in watching him build this area's program. Look at the total picture and you'd understand he actually got that group to surpass their actual talent level. Ever think that if he played them so defensively its because the group didn't have goal scorers? Even more impressive to get them into that division with admittedly less talent. If I were you I'd be tipping my cap to a pretty unbelievable job in just a couple of years. PLEASE REMEMBER...we're leaving and I'm telling you that anyone in this are would be lucky to play with these groups (esp the U-12, U-11 and U-10's). The fall will be 3 consecutive years in the blue division. How many teams can make that claim. (Three others). It all starts with the younger players and the team you mock was his first group...nothing to be ashamed of and they did what only a few clubs in the entire state could do....Go Blue. How you could misinterpret that is just not being correctly informed (so you're now like most posters here...so have a nice weekend, thank a vet and hope your daughter is getting ready for some playoff soccer in the next couple of weeks).
