wow, you sound like the team manager putting out propaganda. You are dilusional if you believe that team is going in the right direction. What has playing in CT. gotten you. A bunch of losses and a bigger bill. It apparently hasn't helped at all. Still waiting for your first goal in Maple this year. Obviously not going about this the right way.

I guess there REALLY is nothing to speak about out west. For a good laugh, you should review the past couple of pages of western parent pitty posts (W-P cubed). Don't take this the wrong way but who cares? Its youth soccer man... Just play for whatever damn club is close enough for your child to play and don't get caught up in the parent pitty party (just P cubed). IF you don't like it, move. News flash...clubs move, consolidate, look to grow and really don't care about what others think...nor should they. Look at Scorps - NEFC - "Stars West", and now taking the bigger clubs to a new league. We're told "you don't want to stay in Maple...talent level so bad etc..etc...But if we do, we travel out of state two more times than this crazy schedule already has us traveling. So we're going to go play more basketball instead...easy fix (Another problem with parents who listen to everyone else tell them their kids should "pick one sport" at 11, 12, 13). There is softball, lacross, basketball and a host of other options for your children. Don't be afraid to let the kids enjoy their lives and not be defined by which club they play for or the whole culture. I'm not sure if we'll miss the parents bitching on the sidelines about their kids playing time, the coach, the referees or the other team being too aggressive (or even laughing when our team might steal a call). It's definitely been a great experience but people have to continually re-evaluate whats going on in life and not just be hampsters who get up on that wheel every year because they did it last year. Just a thought. And for those out west...best of luck but complaining about it does nothing but build resentment. (There are a very select few in western mass or anywhere who are really going somewhere with soccer so for everyone else, relax and play in the best spot for your kids). Those clubs might be doing your child a favor by saving a knee injury later in life. When life gives you lemons....:)

True you did score today but a 1-1 draw is pretty pathetic. Firmly situated? Well there 2 points and your 3 points make for a great race. Sub regional, really.....???? Better beat WU next week or you may find yourself firmly planted at the bottom of the table.

That is easy enough to do between the chance at sub region or scheduled games with clubs outside the league or state. They have been playing Connecticut teams through out this spring already. With Maple becoming what it is, the difficulty in remaining D1 will lessen and allow them to fill in a more competitive schedule at their discreation through out the year. In fact, this may be a blessing for the Pioneers giving them more freedom to work on more development but also the competitive side. So I don't see this as a problem for them if they go about it the right way.

Maybe for your U13G, U15B and a few others, but this U12G team is not in the same league as the other blue teams that are moving to NEP (pun intended) and not ready for sub regional or any of the better CT teams. They will be stuck with 8 very mediocre MAPLE games and then trying to back fill against teams that are much better than they are.

Is the SSS u12 blue team the one that is really U11 but playing up a division? I heard my friends daughter (who is SSS ) is on a team that is playing up a division and wondering if it is them.

No, the U11s playing up are in U12 Purple.

I don't think so, but I think they are still waiting for their 3 guest players to score a goal for them. Oh wait, that is only in tournaments or next year after they add the 3 guest players to replace the 3 that are leaving. Addition by subtraction is excellent math out West.

Really, ask around on Sunday. If you ask loudly maybe some of the WU parents will admit it as well. Ask the parents and players who have been regularly attending the Stars West clinics. Lots of surprises come June. I have heard there are at least 2-3 Pioneers and 4-6 WU players committed to play next season. A last or next to last finish isn't making them happy. Go Stars West!!!
