Trump can downplay the loses as much as he wants, the 3 -4 Senate seats gained were no surprise all in heavy Red States, control of the Senate by Republicans hasn’t changed and frankly I thought the Democrats would’ve had more loses, so many were up for re-election.
I expect that to reverse in 2020 when the Republicans will have 2 1/2 times more up for re-election.

It shouldn’t surprise anyone of the Sessions firing , Trump was in a wait and see in regards to the Midterms , I don’t think he would have fired sessions if the Republicans kept the house. It’s the Republican house that’s covering up the bad deeds, before the Democrats take office and control of the house in January Trump will shut down the Mueller investigation.
That makes zero political sense- sessions being there was a help to dems as rosenstein had no oversight
Now he will declassify the fisa docs and we can get down to see what actually happened and clean it up- get the info out

Put another way - the GOP gained close to 1000 national and state positions during Obama's 8 years. They lost 1/3 of that on Tuesday in two years under Trump. The Blue wave will continue. As you said the GOP has many more at risk senate seats at 2020. The fact that three key races in VERY red states were so close absolutely made them sweat, as it should. A year ago did anyone think TX, FL or GA would go blue? Hell no. The GOP won't survive as the party of old rich white guys.

On the flip side the Dems have to get their act together.

I see that one Fuktard is still on TS ...Sessions recused himself, he had no finger on the Russia conclusion scale.
Trump needed someone involved in investigations to keep him on top of it all..
Trumps only goal is to make it through the full 4 years without impeachment then if he sees that will happen and enough evidence is there he’ll decide on not running for a second term making the announcement to tell the world he did his job in making America.

Ok, thanks Don Lemmon. Explain how the GOP lost 1/3 of that on Tuesday? Without the MSM 24/7 liberal propaganda machine, Trump could have easily beaten Regan below.

Mid-Term House opposing party pick-ups since World War II:

          2010: Obama: -63
          1994: Clinton: -52
          1958: Eisenhower: -48
          1974: Ford: -48
          1966 Johnson: -47
          1946 Truman: -45
          2006 Bush: -30
          2018 Trump: -30
          1950 Truman: -29
          1982 Reagan: -26

Seems to be popular with old ladies...first hillary having a rough time staying on her feet and now RBG.
Trump is dusting off his supreme court list and getting ready.

Terrible press appearance yesterday, blowback from firing Sessions, another mass shooting by a white guy...so the WH goes to their old standby of hating on immigrants by trying to revoke laws protecting asylum seekers.

I guess trump should hire this young lady to be his press secretary....sad thing is, her vote cancelled my vote out

Guarantee she thinks trump is a racist and homophobe. If trump or anyone he even knew socially ever said one word that came out of her mouth, the gay and black communities would call for his head

oh no cons! FL vote recount. Medicare scam artist Rick Scott freaking out that all the votes are going to be counted. A few indicted GOP reps were re-elected. So was a dead pimp, although he'd do a better job than some in Congress right now. Sad that GOP voters would rather vote for criminals. Then again, Don the Con is one as well.

Surely you’re joking. Ellison. Booker. Menendez. The list goes on and on. And here’s the thing about FL. There are simple rules about voting. Meet the deadlines or it doesn’t count. Why are Broward and Dade counties the only two in the entire state that can’t handle this simple rule? And where did these magic ballots suddenly appear from? Your girl has already been done for voter fraud once back in the Wasserman Schulz days. And she’ll be done again. I hope the court case goes all the way to the SC so Kavanaugh can be the one that sends her to the pokey. Now that would be sweet.

"Your Girl... " Snipes was appointed by then Gov. Jeb Bush...

Where did the magic ballots suddenly appear from? -- They were absentee ballots that had not been counted and which everybody knew about (including Rick Scott)...
Note there are still many places across the country that have not yet finished counting all the votes...

Looking forward to the case going to the SC .... it would be wonderful if one of Bart O'Kavanaugh' first actions would be to actually uphold the Constitution... too funny

.. and note the Florida Senate race was already going to a recount

Why you so scared about counting all the ballots? You might legitimately win.
Though I would be really pissed if I was a Vet serving overseas to find that the present Gov. of Florida (Rick Scott) was not counting my vote so that he could become the future Senator for Florida.

If Scott wins (ugh) imagine in six years when he's up for re-election and all those former convicts are finally allowed to vote against him? That's karma in its finest form

Funny ... but you have to be careful what you wish for .... it seems clear, given their propensity for lying and supporting liars, that there will be relatively large proportion of convicts who are Republicans .... :)
