But, all of what you say just proves that even if he did do something great, you'd still make excuses. When you always point to the negative, you become negative, and your message is lost in negativity.
He's very lucky in that he's arisen in a point of history where the country is seemingly divided into two "teams" and the people on these teams just want their team to look better or "win", regardless of what it does to the long run of the country.
The sad part of this is I remember the day when conservatives were the adults in the room, and could be trusted to enact sensible, prudent financial governance and understood that you couldn't destroy water, air and land for corporate profit, because it would end up costing the government more to clean up in the future.
There was no reason, in an upcycle economy for tax cuts, except for trump to short term goose economic numbers (while in the resulting hit to deficits becomes the next guys problem). You cut taxes in a downcycle.
You try and fill your silos in the good wheat growing seasons, with the forward thinking of getting through the drought years.
Rolling back car emissions and mileage standards?
Why? Forget global warming, how about less pollution and "conserving" fossil based fuels, not to mention making and encouraging technological advances.
Now trump is going to bully the Fed to keep rates low, In an economy that is heating up. That's madness, that's not conservatism.
He will do anything to get a good print today or next month, damn what happens to the long term, or who he has to hurt to keep his fan base content.
Reagan supported Volcker in raising rates to levels that actually caused a recession, for the long term benefit of tamping out a stubborn inflation. That was conservative.
Saving what you can today, for a brighter tomorrow.
This guy you support is a charlatan, he has no philosophical or moral core.

ps ... and that is exactly the point... there is not even the slightest indication that he could do anything great... but please let us know what that might look like....

He has no great accomplishments

I know you cons can't believe it but Dems can also run a strong economy, in fact they have many times. In most recent years the economy has tanked under GOP leadership. The next blowup is coming soon - unless he resigns in shame soon.

Really, look what happened when Bill Clinton visited Loretta ***** on the airplane on the tamac....lol.

Advocates limiting free speech all in the name of democracy.
ummmmwhat??
At what point does the things Alex Jones says and does become the same as yelling "FIRE" in a crowded theater? Isn't that the line where free speech ends? Is what he says a parallel?
Hence, the debate......

I'm a liberal and I don't believe that at all.
I believe in the Constitution. I think there can be an argument made as to whether or not Alex Jones is a danger to our democracy. I don't believe you censor him unless he crosses the line defined there.
