White House flag no longer at half staff

Trump has more admiration for Putin than an war hero American war hero, longbtime public servant and member of his own party.

Things that make you go hmmm

The WH flag was only half mast for 48 hours for McCain. Normally someone of that stature would have received several days more honor. Trump is such an obvious douche
Last two senate passings under Obama had 4 days at WH until they were interred. At least Congress still has the flag at half mast

Trump declines to comment when asked multiple times in the Oval Office for his thoughts on the death of John McCain

When will Republicans wake up and realize he doesn’t even care about the Republican party

But his supporters don't care about the Republican Party, either. So, he's doing what those who support him want. In their eyes, McCain got captured in war, which lessens him, and McCain supported healthcare for the middle class and poor, which lessens him.

And, frankly, coming from the other side, the side that supports single payor healthcare, opposes war and its expense, supports retraining for police departments to defuse rather than kill, and supports environmental and clean energy efforts, as one of those guys, McCain's service in the sentate kinda sucked all the time. He was not a maverick, went along with his party most of the time, and generally fueled the wealth gap and caste system we currently live in.

If his supporters aren’t Republicans then who are they? He won the Republican nomination so I would think they would care

So you are okay with how he’s being treated because you disagree with his views. Coming from the other side you must agree he saved Obama Care. Because while I disagreed with many of his views I would still hold him up as a hero and Senator

              Who are they? Nazis.

I think McCain only began to care at the end. Like so many other Republican politicians, they only care when it affects them personally or they have effectively resigned or left office; Flake, I'm looking at you.

They are well aware, and they dislike him intensely. Unfortunately 80% of GOP voters support hims so they can't afford to lose their support either. That's why the only ones that say anything against him are the ones retiring. Even azz kisser Paul Ryan can't bring himself to say anything and he's leaving as well - but he wants to continue to have a role in the party so he won't. Putting up with Trump's nonsense is one thing, but the GOP has consistently put party before country and in the long run it's going to cost them dearly. Voters are fed up. Both sides are shrinking as more voters declare themselves independent, but since 2016 the % of voters calling themselves Republicans has slide off a cliff. Their aging mostly white demographic is not where the population or voters are going.

Agree McCain was not really the maverick he claimed to be - he voted along party lines most of the time. So from that standpoint I wasn't a fan. But obviously he served this country honorably and cared for it deeply, and for that I have a great deal of respect. Naturally Donnie DoTard can't muster that.

Trump's poll numbers ticking upward after last week's supposed inflection point. Snowflakes just don't get it.

He might have been honorable in the military, I don't know. Today, you agree to join the military and suffer those risks in return for certain things, like pay, room and board, and healthcare.

In the Senate, McCain agreed to do work for certain things, like pay and healthcare. I propose he was not honorable in the Senate and that he sold out all but the wealthiest Americans and did nothing to stop the division that has come to pass in your country; in fact, he hastened us to the place we are by having Palin run as his VP candidate.

Stop making McCain out to be better than he was, just because you want to sh!t on Trump. Trump is quite capable of doing that to himself without your help and without putting McCain on some false pedestal.

Dude your hatred is coming through

No issues as a Democrat putting McCain on a pedestal. He served his country as a senator and military officer. He paid a huge price as a POW

This is the brain trust of the MSM. This is exactly why the liberals are dead, they don't get the electorate and the don't get the genesis of the distrust of the media.

Not only that McCain volunteered, and when he was captured they were going to release him because he had a high ranking military father. But he stayed with the other captured troops for FIVE years. I totally disliked him as a politician but have to give tremendous respect there. Plus serving as a senator for 30+ years. That's service and dedication.

Meanwhile Donnie BoneSpurs won a trophy for college bowling. No joke. Look it up. He told Howard Stern avoiding STD's was "his Vietnam."
