The DPH maintains there are other factors (risk) no matter the data. Though DPH can’t mandate anything sports wise no CT school district -who has final say, would go forward without their buy in.

our economy is in the toilet, our old people are dead,our kids are wasting another year with remote learning, our tax base is shrinking, our taxes are going up, our govt benefits and hand outs are increasing, our drug problems are getting worse
and they have better weather

If colleges are not playing why would you be ok with high school sports playing ? CT is the best state vs Covid let’s keep it that way. BTW Ct high school football stinks

It makes for a very tough sell to state and local residents to justify having HS teams play. Doesn't matter science or facts, pure optics, but that's how politics go most times
