So there was one last shot today at DPH, CIAC plan A play now is promise of tons of sport specific PPE and reduced spectatorship. Plan's B and C (if at all) are spring later or 7v7 now. Spring is too late for some to cut tape for recruitment or get any late scouting and plan C leaves too many left out.

Lamont didn’t have a full day of mtgs. He could have made time. Hs kids don’t vote, he just didn’t care. More downside for him when he gets heckled. Please with the speaker. Lamont hasn’t passed any good legislation anyway. One and done useless democrat, hanging on to his pandemic powers.

Yeah its a shame, not even two weeks in and already temp closings in a half dozen towns schools last week. Meanwhile the lucky ones like soccer, cross country, volleyball etc. are quietly moving on in small cohorts and many carpools cause their not in person all week same days.

Today’s Update
DPH does not support Fall football and reiterates no scientific evidence to determine the effectiveness of plastic face shields. DPH repeats narrative of moving “high risk” ie football to a later safer time period.

Positivity rate over 1% and steadily increasing. Hospitalizations increasing as well. Another week or 2 now that schools are back, both of these numbers will skyrocket
