Originally posted by Unregistered View Postif they allow HS ow will attract more talented players on the girls side then the group of B teamers they have now at all ages. its the premium soccer model of "warm body and cashed check" that gets you on a team now on the girls side.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostGA, with or without HS, will not attract anyone. They do not have a great league, coaches, or prices. We aren't at oakwood from 15 years ago Toto.
The no high school rule immediately takes out a highly competitive faction of kids and leaves with others that otherwise wouldn't be on a top club team. Looking at OW's commitments, it definitely plays out. Lots of crummy D2 schools that kids can get recruited from second tier club teams. Definitely not the desired outcome for years of sacrifice.

They have so many kids there that declined GA team and play on the EDP one so they can play HS that their B teams are nearly as good as their A teams ..... If not better in some cases.

ECNL is clearly the gold standard but only 11 player see the field at a time.

GAL needs to suck it up and go to a 6-7 month season like ECNL. They wanted to keep 10 months so they could justify not lowering fees. It is a joke. Lower the fees and do 7 months like everyone else and maybe the league can survive.
