I’m sure it sounded funny as you typed it...

Not as funny as when you nick your bag when your life partner shaves you

I heard they are putting a roof over the outdoor fields so that they can play all year round like their indoor fields

It’s a good workout with a running clock and no out-of-bounds and kids forced to play all positions.

            This.

And, boards indoors makes sense, speeds things up, changes the game enough to make it challenging.

Boards are the biggest bad-habit creators in the game. You learn nothing by having a crutch around you. No reason to play to feet, the boards will save you. No reason to shoot on goal, the boards will save you. Just toss it down in the corner and let it come back to you.

Worst thing for youth soccer is indoor with boards. Not sure if there is a close second.

Fine for younger kids for a few winter months, but that's it

I have to agree. You see a lot of bad habits forming over the winter and it takes a few outdoor games for the kids to adjust and not just kick the ball out of bounds for no reason.

The most stupid habit is when someone plays a 1-2 off the wall

It's good practice to do that. Gets you in the habit so you can play off a teammate in the game.

1- Teammates don't bounce the ball back
2- Using the wall doesn't teach timing

I agree. I grew up playing at oakwood indoors. The speed of play was terrific, tempo of play and who cares if you play the boards. Our job as coaches should be to let a player solve the on field problems however they can. Their own ability to problem solve ultimately leads to success.

Cop out. It does nothing but to breed careless, lazy play.

Play indoors without the boards; or just use the facilities for drills. Playing games is the worst. Let it go, grandpa. Boards are so last millennium.
