Lost all but one, and the one win was due to the other team scoring two own goals.

Their two wins were both close games against Tophat U14s who have tons of smackdowns against terrible FL teams, and U15 against MI Jaguars who have a similar record (9-10-3) to OW (11-8-4).

Tophat is a great club. That's a good win. I'm not with the club but give credit where credit is due. OW is otherwise getting taken behind the woodshed out there

Good for these kids to get some exposure but this format is an absolute disaster. Friday to Tuesday? US can't help but screw things up. Anyone who has ever been to a major showcase event (ie PDA, ECNL events) knows that it is a ghost down on Day 3 of any event. Coaches come in and hit hard for two days and leave. They aren't spending four nights in a hotel. What a waste of time and money for teams that are still stuck there today.

Before anyone chimes in with (too many games in weekend etc) that's why you bring large rosters and spread playing time. OW results are overall poor and there are still kids getting 10 to 15 minutes of playing time. If my kid traveled to CO and got that amount of time, I'd have her hand in the jersey before getting on the plane ride home. It's a not a showcase of you aren't on the field.

And, yes, all college coaches are gone by the last day. But, consider that they are there to see specific players and not just wander around aimlessly looking for the unicorn.

Let's add that 8th graders shouldn't be traveling that far and missing that much school for a showcase. By and large coaches aren't looking at them yet. They're shopping (from their lists) for HS aged kids. USSF should do regional tournaments for U14s with less costly travel and less missed school.

If it’s not your kid, why would you worry about how much time they are missing from school? Certainly sure a few days of missed school will not interfere with their future.. unbelievable what people pick on... what a great experience for those kids... win or lose it is something they will remember

very true. all the parents of TS are so quick to take down kids and clubs and all of a sudden they are so worried about the kids school, how much money one spends/finance, kids playing in HS or not, etc. Hint.....just worry about your own kid.
