No one "steals" anyone in this soccer environment.
Rather, people "choose" to leave one club and join another.
Hardly what you call a "theft".
More likely should be called "customer dissatisfaction" with one product and an attempt to find a better one to the customer's liking.
When people leave in numbers, you are doing something wrong.

For us, and I assume many who come to Oakwood post u12, we were kicking ourselves for not coming sooner. At the u littlest ages there are tons of CT options and rarely does a u8 or u9 or u10 seek out the best club. There are so many options and such a lack of education and information, it’s easy not to know the landscape. Oakwood gets many of the top players at the older ages because the people realize it’s the place to be. People come, as we did, all on our own, because we’ve learned and seen a lot over the years.
