Missing key players and everyone knows Ginga 07 is a solid team. I don’t see CFCU 07 scrimmaging them. Why is that?

baw haw haw! Talk to some of the former Ginga dads. They thought their kids' teams were the greatest ever. By freshman year in HS they've become barely mediocre. All it takes is losing their top few players and it all falls apart. It's just how it works at this age

Wrong. The CFC U13 ECNL (NOT the ECNL 2 team... but who knows they probably lost too) lost and tied two EDP teams this past weekend. Yes, you keep saying it’s a branch team wait until next year. Well they better be a big help because the ECNL u13 team has lost all but one game this spring. Good luck with all those crazy parents of the new kids that were picked for next year.

Being a branch team actually does matter; because the talent consolidation across the branches hasn’t occurred yet. This has been repeated over and over on this forum; it’s really not hard to understand.

There is little, if any, talent at the branches. They bring in their talent from outside the club.

Across the board, both genders, check the OPI results. Academy soccer not what it used to be. If Oakwood was wise they would stop exposing themselves by playing local teams. Oakwood is a pittance of what they used to be 10 years ago.

That actually is a little surprising. I know there is a lot of chest-thumping here, but OW really does seem to be down as a club.

Oakwood def got exposed this weekend. U12 and u15 top teams both lost to Ginga. CFCu may be the only team still improving every year by consolidating and stealing players. Not sure too many are leaving their clubs for oakwood or fsa anymore.

Sorry but do not blame the club. It’s really more of a product of not playing competitive league games in GA vs the old GDA. Shame as you see the impact it has.

Agreed, feel for the club but what can they do. ECNL is tough to get into in this area.

Look at the results for many teams. Losses or very close to what is supposedly far weaker competition in vastly inferior leagues.
