Good article. The issue is that the options available to Slammers aren’t exactly on
The table for Oakwood, Albertsons etc. slammers is a powerhouse and has leverage.
I’m predicting this mess spells the end of Albertson. They tried to do both and were horrific in both. They opted for the DA as they were likely getting booted from the ECNL. Meanwhile another LI club takes their spot in the ECNL. Say goodnight
Oakwood in equally tough position. They don’t have the option to Listen to families because they don’t have options. They will be putting the lights out in the GDA along with Cedar Stars, Classics and that bunch. When it dies they move into NPL or EDP. Remember it wasn’t long ago that OW played in the Ny league.
The losers here are the parents that have their kids chasing this mess. Why on earth would you ever push a kid to give up HS sports for this? Talk about a regrettable decision on every level. The GDA wasn’t a bad idea initially but it is now.
It is around here. It's doing fine out west. But like real estate it's all local. Those OW players looking for something better will find themselves largely shut of CFC and FSA unless they get more ECNL teams.

This is OW we're talking about. Those players couldn't make it before, that's why they were at OW. Don't think that what looks like moderate GDA success means they're any good.
It's all relative. Plus it's the same trainers they had before.
CFC rosters are locked and overflowing. FSA may take a few. The bulk of the roster players will have few options.

Then why are you so worried about it and even on the OW forum? Why do you care so much?
I don't think they have a choice until anything is official. It's also possible GDA limps along for another year and OW has no place to go.
What is the club telling parents? Are they preparing them for an alternative next season? Or are they going to wait on telling families until after tryouts are over so those families are stuck without any options for their player?
Ow doesn't tell you anything. They didn't when they went to the NY league instead of CJSA, nor when they went to NPL from the New York league and, surprise, DA. So, shut up, pay, sell raffle tickets, work the burger stand at the OPI, show up for the dinner, and pay.

sounds like you're speaking from experience. Struck out with the prom queen so you went for the Shot Putter on the high school track team.
Head to head records over the past few years suggest otherwise.
Besides is this an argument over 5th vs 6th in the conference? There’s only team in the state that’s had success in the conference and your kids ain’t on it.
Last year the 03 team from FSA won a game at Nationals and another did well in the C flight. Let’s open champagne...tool
Head to head is far closer than it should be and not much above even at that!

Or, #10-18 FSA players will find themselves pushed out by Oakwood players making the move.

Plenty of starters can be displaced at either club by several OW kids. They all have some strong players and rather weaker players at the end of the starting lineups.
