Girls are fleeing because FC is leaving; poor tryouts showings for boys. They're not floundering but they are slipping. They need stronger management.

But MK is poison so no one wants to work with him. Conversely, he'd only do a deal if he perceived it as an upgrade in stature. EA or just about any other club wouldn't be good enough in his mind.

Hey what ever happened to coach Matera, he was probably the best of them. But heard he left? His face is still on the website though.

Anyone see that Beachside's first DA match of the 2018/19 season has been matched up by USSDA vs NYSC.

        #regionalrivalry taken to new levels.

        .........
I did hear a rumor that Matera is going to coach at NYSC. No idea if it is true.

          News spreads

News of players leaving Beachside continues to swirl.

          05/06/07/08

The numbers are staggering, and BS is scrambling to fill rosters. They'll ship in HS players in the spring like never before, so be mindful if you have a HS boy and he is on the team. He'll play in the Fall, you'll pay the full boat, then in the Spring he'll get 1/2 the playing time.

Such is the way of the new BS model.

They will bring in South Kent kids and local SWC/FCIAC kids in the Spring

Amazing that USSF continues to allow BS to use this loop hole. Put BS out its misery already

He is already there but not at the NYSC you’re thinking, he’s with Norwalk Youth soccer. Went back to travel. Heard he got into it with MK.

Thanks for clarification. Too bad. Would have loved to see him at the other NYSC

Other clubs use it as well. USSF knows it happens but turn a blind eye, along with other "rules" they don't enforce. BS isn't the only club that struggles to fill rosters and USSF needs them all - even if they don't care about them

I believe OW brought in one or two players while BS brought in 6-8 of them

With OW it's typically prep school kids which is really what waivers are for. It's not supposed to be for public school players. BS had a mix but mostly public

OW had at least one public school player added but to your point were mostly prep kids.

Remember these aren't waivers they are additions to the roster post high school season.

An true waiver for prep school requires approval from USSF. But there is an allowable add on period, which actually is a good chunk of the year. Another big DA loophole clubs can drive a truck through. The good ones won't because they don't need to or simply won't do it.

                              BS is BS

                              Absolutely !

the real farse of the program is revealed in August, when rosters are set and their teams (which performed poorly in 17/18) take to the field in a depleted state. No HS players, top players having left the club in various ages, and a very challenged field rental situation.

But BS will go on, just as a tier 3 DA club.

Finances are their next downfall, as they can't keep bleeding and not raising money.

Will there be any hs girls teams? Why would those girls stick around for sr year with how poorly they did this year?
