Lets do it. I am tired of hearing all the chirping with nothing to back it up. I do believe CFCU and FSA have a lot to lose if this were to ever happen. I also believe they would lose too.

SENIOR MINIMUM SALARY: The minimum salary for senior roster players will increase from $48,500 in 2014 to $60,000 in 2015, $62,500 in 2016, $65,000 in 2017, $67,500 in 2018 and $70,250 in 2019.
RESERVE MINIMUM SALARY: The minimum salary for additional players beyond the first 24 roster slots per club will increase from $36,500 in 2014 to the following: 2015 – $50,000; 2016 – $51,500; 2017 – $53,000; 2018 – $54,500; 2019 – $56,250. In addition, such players, who must be 24 years old or younger, will receive an additional bonus of $500 for each MLS game in which they appear, and another $750 for each MLS game that they start.
Your nephew has an education and a career (which he can readily change). That's the goal for 99 5% of DA players, as it should be. Most aren't pro material, not even for MLS

Yes I know that skipper, but don’t you think they should keep playing at a competitive level?
It’s not a Part Time sport you do know that right? I’ve never heard of a kid quit and relax after getting a commitment, actually it’s the perfect time to work even harder and in order to get PT freshman year.

Yeah mate, that works if their major in school is physical education or communications. Otherwise it might be wise to spend some time studying something more practical and avoiding ending up a football coach at 30. Get my meaning, champ? Cheers.

Grades usually not an issue end of fall senior year. Very few if any coach withdrawals, just stay on par and finish up classes. You’re seeing more and more students from PVt schools deciding to enter their Institute of choice early Spring.

He better be a miracle worker. The bottom line is that BS Academy teams basically suck, sorry but it's the truth. If I'm a top player in FC, why on earth would I go play for BS with NYCFC and Red Bulls so close. Oakwood not much better, however their 19's made the playoffs (only team to do so).

                      East Conference Standings
                      BS 15's - 8th of 11 teams
                      OW 15's - 10th of 11
                      BS 17's - 9th of 10 teams
                      OW 17's - 5th of 10
                      BS 19's - 8th of 10 teams
                      OW 19's - 3rd of 10 **Playoffs

This downward spiral will continue for BS, the glory days are behind them and the top players all know it. The MLS clubs are too close to home, and an obvious better choice. In reality, MK knows this as well, hence his desperate flight north to Monroe. This move may or may not work for him, however it will most likely financially strap him. The Lower FC demographic will not follow this move north and the new demographic can't and won't throw cash at the club like MK has been accustomed to since inception. This won't end well.

NYCFC definitely a big impact on BSC, before that it was Red Bulls but the trip into NJ was a major hurdle to many parents.
Don't know how BSC will ever keep the elite players to stay, giving freebies wont cut it, sending them to YNT camps wont cut it, putting them up on the Website with accomplishments wont cut it.
Its a tough business to compete in, BSC , Oak will always be BSC, Oak and just accept the fact of being a feeding system.
Even MKs niece is playing for NYCFC Girls DA .

I agree yet at the same time some of this is out of his control. There are too many DA clubs in the area. BS even was losing players to FCW when EA was involved which isn't a good sign. There just isn't enough top talent in the area and losing what little there is to MLS teams will hurt tremendously. Moving to Monroe won't stop that phenomenon, and it will drive many families that form the bulk of the their business (premier teams, juniors) out.

Big picture I think more kids are questioning the benefits of doing DA. Combine that with poor DA club choices and it can spiral downward easily. Why give up HS sports to go out and lose all the time? It just won't appeal to some players and BS needs volume

Ive heard that "too many DA clubs" before , i didn't agree with it then and still dont now.
EA/FCW DA was never a BSC threat/problem, kids that went to EA/FCW DA were kids that couldn't make BSC or were cut.
Now EA and FCW split, id say the days are numbered for FCW to survive, i suspect NYSC will somehow gobble up that DA lic in a year or two and then the East/NY corner will be pretty much set. Would be very bad news for BSC when that happens, they wouldn't get any more kids below Norwalk that's for sure.

                              No so fast ...

BA has always raided EA for talent on its DAP teams. Once EA and FCW aligned that changed.

In fact if you look at the last years 16s EFCW had the better team/record. eFCW went to the playoffs, BS didn't. Several of those kids from CT went to RB and NYCFC. I bet Bs would have loved to have some of those CT EFCW kids on this years squad

Counter commute to FCW or NYSC much more appealing that hauling up to Monroe in rush hour traffic 4 days a week.

Does anyone know if USSF pressured them to have their own site? I think there are other clubs that rent/have long term agreements. Seems like it will put a huge financial strain on the club (if it happens).
