If you go there and put the work in you will become a better soccer player....but if you become too good, you are better off eventually moving to ECNL or GDA for the best competition. I don't think BS would begrudge a top player from making such a move. In fact, if they are successfully placing players to higher level clubs on a consistent basis it must mean good things are being taught at BS in the development years.

Once a club can't retain top players, it either accepts that it's a feeder for other clubs or goes under. Personally, I think BS should merge with Yankee. BS has a strong Boys program and Yankee has NPL on the Girls' side. They could use the combined entity to leverage getting into top tournaments the way other clubs do and maybe attract and retain players.

My daughter is not likely ECNL or GDA material.....what are her options?

If you don't know already (assuming your D is planning on playing in high school, even if JV) but in CT HS players are not allowed to play club while HS soccer is in season. You literally can't step on your club field until your HS team is done for the season, including playoffs. As such some clubs still hold another round of tryouts in November once HS is done to help fill in inevitable gaps. The better teams will be filled already.
