I am hearing the players who made it were notified on Saturday evening. I assume they are waiting to see who will accept so they can go to waitlist. Then they will send out remaining notifying them they are not being offered a roster position right now.

Will the affiliation with NYCFC still draw people to the program?

Affiliation is over. Best players at BS will continue to go to NYCFC or even Red Bulls. It's a fact of life. OW even loses the occasional player to the Revs. If you're good enough to play for an MLS club you're much better off - and I'm not even talking about the financial rewards, but training, college coach exposure etc

The state is in a financial death spiral - more people moving out than moving in, retirees moving south and taking their nice big portfolios with them, mismanagement in Hartford, companies leaving, tax revenue shrinking. Also when a decent sized employer leaves they take not just their employees but all the local spending by their employees, charitable donations to local groups...it's ugly and going to get uglier.

This state is one of the worst in the country between old overpriced homes and an insane property tax rate... CT really has nothing to offer anymore, no one from out of state would move here for any reason unless it's some high paying job which are few n far between . State is ugly and getting uglier .

How do you know affiliation is over was this formally announced or just pulling at straws.
