Literally an hour ago BS sent an email to all parents telling them not to have kids try out for other clubs.

We are fully aware of the all the other tryout dates. We have received many requests from players at other academy clubs wanting to tryout for next season. We feel its important to be respectful. We inform everyone they must wait until the end of the season.

We expect the same of our current players and follow the Development Academy rules in place.

If anybody plans on not returning next season to Beachside please E-mail Coach Paul ASAP at
paul@beachsidesoccer.org.

This will help the club very much with its final decision making on player selections.

I think it is an academy rule actually. Whether or not anyone actually follows it is another matter. DA or premier you can tell BS to suck it - if you're not happy you're not happy.

What's happening on beachside girls side? Tryouts results?

Decent numbers attended the two tryout dates. Looks like they will be fielding 2008,2007, 2006 and 2005 teams for next season. CCSL and EDP leagues.

Also likely two HS aged teams too.

A good friend of mine whose son tried out for 2004 premiere team was called by coach yesterday to inform him that he would not be offered a position. An email went out today inviting 8 more kids back to practice again.

They did your friend a favor. Doing premier at BS past U13 is a waste of time and money. It's academy or leave. Lots of other good premier options out there.

At least the coach called - lots of clubs won't even answer an email at tryout time
