BS is BS

Is BS the only team that forbids double rostering? There has to be some kind of compromise for little kids. It's hard to say "congrats, you are a talented player, so you need to leave all your friends and only play on a team with kids from other towns who you will likely never see during the week or for playdates.

At the same time, 2 premier practices + 2 travel practices + 2 games/weekend... not to mention making a hard choice during tournament weekends is also untenable. I get it for ages 14 and above but for 9 & 10 year olds?

Most kids drop travel by around U12-U13 (or at least that's when my two kids and many of their club teammates did). Usually one or two years with a decent premier team demonstrates that doing both is not only too time-intensive (and burn out inducing), but they see the widening gap in skills and commitment levels. Most clubs don't "force it" per se, but club coaches certainly won't accommodate travel schedules. If you commit to a premier team that has to be your first priority.

(a) - the stronger teams getting the better coaches
(b) - the weaker teams which need the better coaches to improve

I also wonder about a South team that will practice on turf 2x/week and a North team that will practice on very thick grass 2x/week.

The lack of posting the girls coaching staff is more evidence that this club is boy-centric.

lol one U11 team in the lowest bracket. Another U11 team did poorly and an older team finished last. At Needham. Enough said.
