In fact in CT there's probably too many choices. Id rather see fewer choices, better quality.
What’s out there...EA.... sorry, but I have a hard time explaining to my kid who wants to play soccer at a D1,2 or 3 school, that there will be no coaches recruiting at his sub par league games or tournaments while playing with HS level kids.
And forget about going to NYCFC or Redbulls because you can only have one age group per club. Many here make it sound like those clubs will accept anyone willing to travel the distance.
The kids getting PT at BS are all happy and won’t move unless their skill outgrows the program, and that’s pretty much with any club but moving from BS downwards to EA is not the Norm and I’ve never heard of that unless the kid got cut.
I just don’t know what the beef is, other than some have had a bad experience with BS.
They need to let it go and move on BS ain’t going nowhere.

It doesn’t matter what patch you have on your shoulder. Explain that to your kid.
by the way six other AC kids were offered spots on BS academy teams before the fall season. All them said no and stayed with AC.

Point is talent is everywhere. DAP snobs look down their noses like they have all of the talent or that premier training is inferior.
BS clearly doesn’t have a lock on all of the talent

Look at the UConn players.. AD got UConn’s interest while balling at BS all the CT players recruited to UConn either played BS , Oak or FCW don’t know the process in MA and since this is a CT board please don’t clog the system we don’t care about MA and what works for them, and the Pvt schools are in another sphere.
The only Azzes are the ones that truly believe college guys especially head coaches go out of their way to watch CJSA, NPL or EDP games.... they don’t!
I can tell you one fact and that is ...Head Coaches do go to Academy games and now the season is nearly a wrap, most not in the D1 playoffs will be in Florida for the DA showcase.
The days of premier players being recruited at these silly league games to watch EA or AC ct play are over. No one is saying those players won’t be recruited because that would be plain stupid of a comment, but a parent is making it harder on their child not being seen at a good program.
Academy play is not only about being seen and recruited but level of play, it being the closer of level to college play .
College teams have seen a rise with Freshmans being ready to play almost immediately due to the success from Academy play, this is not my opinion it’s fact.

No such offered were made, I know because I’m on the inside.
But let’s say for arguments sake it’s true , so they will stay? So please follow up with their initials and which school they will commit too.
Only D1 commitments please ....don’t forget.
