It does, but the European development is fueled by the home leagues, and the top leagues the clubs can sell their players to. MLS and lack of pro/rel is the main culprit the home player development in US sucks compared to Europe. So stop blaming the grassroots clubs in the area for not having a financial incentive to develop your DS/DD for professional football.

The youth clubs that sell ECNL and other such leagues are charging players and parents an arm and a leg because they can, and because parents and players chasing those leagues will pay it. The financial incentive for these clubs and coaches is natural and obvious. If the market is not forcing them to do the hard work and compete on the basis of what they can really teach/develop players, but instead rewards them financially, for not doing that work, and just selling access to a League, then there lies the financial incentive.

ECNL expansion over the last several years has diluted the level of play at the highest level. Needs to be cut back at least 50% so you really have the best playing against the best which will help development. Instead we have diluted talent playing diluted talent while ECNL cashes in

ECNL cashes in because top teams have to travel to play top level teams. Agree with that.

They lead all clubs in selling an expensive Player ID platform without really developing players. Even the ECNL club coaches admitted that fact to Yahoo Sports. They don’t need to compete on the quality of their player training/education because ya’ll are buying ECNL, which ECNL itself describes as a Player ID Platform. As it turns out, it’s a platform that showcases poorly developed players.

Maybe there are no such great coaches in this state. But your best chance of finding one would be to look for one that has nothing else to offer other but their teaching abilities.
