Also, West Salem has 2 ties and that is not going to help
Win loss record is weighted much high than strength of schedule. Salem does have 2 ties but zero loses and that will remain. No chance they lose a league game. If Jesuit wins out, only they will have a better record with no losses and 1 tie. Everyone else will have at least one loss. Statistically don’t think it’s possible for anyone to surpass Salem for 2nd place now. If Jesuit loses one game, Salem will pass them and get the #1 seed.

I predict West Salem will lose @ Summit or may lose to Bend in Salem.

Are you the one who predicted they’d lose to Mountainside? 4-0 rout. Salem wins out. Put money on it. Jesuit has the best player and the collection of players. Jesuit is the best team and they win out and beat Salem next time unless they don’t play smart, don’t play as a team or get worn down or injured from too much playing time or physical match ups.

Didn’t predict anything on MS and West Salem. MS is over rated and the new HS thing is over played.

I think it is tough to travel to Bend and play well vs. Summit

Bend is athletic enough to cause a bad game.

Bend plays at Salem and Summit is no longer a contender. Trust me, I have a crystal ball that predicted West Salem would challenge for 2nd. MS was the last challenge. Jesuit, Sherwood and MS all choked. It’s a done deal now.

MS vs Jesuit in a few weeks will be a great game and could very well be a preview of the finals.

It all depends on which top teams end up on the other side of the bracket from Jesuit. If MS isn’t a 2nd seed (which they might not be able to attain if Salem wins out), then they’ll meet Jesuit before the finals.

3rd seed would also be on the other side of the bracket.

Who is more likely to get the 3rd seed, MS or Sherwood? Sherwood tied WS. MS hasn’t played Jesuit yet though I think Jesuit wins easily. Thought MS would beat West Salem though, so I don’t know much.

At this point jesuits got the championship unless west beats them in semis

Don't know. I could see MS, Sherwood, WS and even Jesuit dropping (or draw) a game. Hard homework weeks, social issues (boyfriends), illness, etc...everyone has a bad game once in a while, it just depends on if that bad game matches up against a good team or the opponent's best game.

Metro league looks pretty tough. Teams like Sunset and Beaverton could jump up and bite MS and/or Jesuit. Bend could be that team for WS.

Pacific league looks weak, but who knows?

Why does this message board talk about HS soccer as though it matters?

It’s a site for talking about soccer what difference is it to you. Hs season only comes once a year and it’s exciting to watch our kid play.
