I'm not. Their schedule so far doesn't seem too tough...

Honestly, never heard about this but need to know! If there is really a Salem soccer related guy violating women, everyone should know so we can be safe!

Strength of schedule will be important from here out. Some of those teams have very weak conference schedules. That will hurt the rankings and ultimately the only thing that matters is the rankings. If you are 9-5 or 13-3 it still factors in strength of schedule. At the end of the regular season, it matters who you have to fight through to get to the finals.

              Just WOW

Yeah MS lost to West! So like 4 hours of downtime to not eat and sit around isn't a great idea!!!! Every team has a bad game thus far. Let's get real for one moment Non League games don't count. Every time playing this year is a contender. Until YOU'RE team is holding that trophy at the end can you say who is the best. There has been a lot of upsets in this game. Lets keep to a prediction and let the best TEAM win!!!

MS should have planned better. 4-0 is a rout. With the win, Salem has clinched 2nd place for State seeding and the championship game will be a rematch between Jesuit and Salem. Has the state title game ever been locked in this early before? Salem wins out easy in a very weak conference. Jesuit has tough teams yet to play, like MS, but will come together and win out as well. Salem is now on easy street to the playoffs with a #2 or #1 seed. The title is Jesuit’s to lose.

Disagree!! I still feel MS hasn't shown there potential or strength..... they don't just have one or two good players(like West). West good lucky on MS bad day.... Jesuit and MS in finals!!!

It will be interesting to see how it shakes out. Right now, its Jesuit, WS, Sherwood, MS. Sherwood has a stronger schedule, so if they win out and WS wins out, will the computer rankings move Sherwood ahead of WS?

I could see all four teams dropping a game between now and the end of the year.

No one but W.Salem. Their league matches will be easier than easy for them. If Jesuit, Sherwood or MS were swapped with them, I’d say they’d have already clinched 2nd. However, unlike W.Salem, this three have potential losses coming due to their schedule. MS v Jesuit is coming up to give one of them a loss or both a tie. When you have conferences with vastly different levels, this is the outcome. W.Salem understands this and schedules tough out of conference games to establish rpi. While the rest of the teams didn’t worry much about pre-league schedules, W.Salem went full out and got results which all but guarantee 2nd seed, at a minimum. Homefield advantage at least until they play the other #1 or #2. Biggest deal is not having to play Jesuit before the finals.

Agreed most with what you said at the bottom. Biggest deal is who DOESNT have to play Jesuit in quarter or semi finals. If Jesuit replayed west, they would have the possible best results.

Agree. If MS didn’t realize their only chance to secure 2nd seed was to beat Salem, then shame on them. That game was their most critical game of the year for them until final rounds of the playoffs. Salem knew they’d likely be knocked out by Jesuit next time. Best to make that next time the championship game.

The math for seeding is based on strength of schedule and you really don’t 1-4 until games are all played. If teams in W Salem’s conference had bad preseason results that would affect the final seeding if you are trying to get 2 or 3.

Also, West Salem has 2 ties and that is not going to help
