Lets all play nice in the sandbox. I know that the current soccer landscape is difficult to navigate and is confusing and can be scary at times but the cheap shots are unproductive.

My daughter plays ECNL, she is an 03 and yes a starter. Already pressure from our coach for girls to verbally commit to next year. That being said many were very interested in GDA until RH was unable to coach. Families are now waiting to hear who the 03 coach will be. Our experience has been decent but not quite what we expected. We did tournaments in addition to our regular season which we are still in and yes it's been quite expensive. If they cut out the non-ECNL showcases it would be more manageable but Club feels exposure at tournaments like Surf are worth it and necessary.

ECNL teams should not be playing any out of state tournaments unless you are in the top bracket @ Surf or equivalent and can be competitive. Otherwise you are just draining more money out of the parents pockets w/o a real return.
More than enough opportunity to play up during the summer or also scrimmage a younger boys team.

While he might have credentials as it pertains to playing history, he shouldn't be coaching youth. He is in it for the wins, not for player development at all. He is an opportunist. Now, you might hear he is a great guy and the families that will say this have kids that he favors, but observe how he treats others. If you have any humanity, you will know that the way he treats the "other" kids is undeniably wrong. The favored kids know it too, but they turn the other way because they are so desperate to keep their standing.
