Relying on results from this past year means nothing going forward.

How different can they be when we are told the Thorns gda teams will be almost the same rosters as current Thorns academy teams? Weren't the academy players told they have spots for next year?

Sorry you don't get it.
Sorry you don't get reality. That team doesn't reflect all the teams at CU and FC, just like a one off win against another teams reserve squad doesn't change what the 00's actually are.
You are seriously gripping and stretching the boundaries of common sense when the body of work tells an entirely different story.
Given the realities in front of you I don't blame you for playing the last card into the burn pile.

They crushed everyone in OYSA. We were told all those best are already there and get to stay on for GDA. Other than maybe a few that want to leave to play multiple sports & hs soccer. What is the truth? Is it truly going to be open tryouts? Most current academy players think they already have spots on gda.

Call the coach of your dd age group and ask.
