NWSL might be around next year but might not. They are being smart paying players very low and using unpaid players.

Exactly why it's so important to continue to support subsidized programs for our young female athletes.

Until the women's game is as exciting to watch as the men's game, very few will watch. My DD plays at a "high" level with a local club and can't stand to watch Thorns games - she says they are too slow and most of the players have very little skill with the ball.

And that doesn't stop her from playing though does it? My daughter only watches a lot of La Liga..but that doesn't stop her from playing at a regional level and also attending Thorns games in support of the NWSL. If we want our female soccer athletes to play better than we need to start training them better. Thorns GSA isn't just "Thorns" .. it's a new National Soccer Academy. The absolute LAST thing we want to see happen is for this program to fail. That would be a failure to all of the young girls out there.

We don't have to want the GDA to fail - it'll do that on it's own. There is no market demand for the product - that's why all the GDA shills have to be online 24/7 selling selling selling. If it had value everyone would buy it immediately.

Portland is the only team that gets support.

If you are so convinced and wishful that it will fail, why come on an online forum and repeatedly post vitriol about GDA when you could be spending your time teaching your daughter submisiveness and arranging a marriage for her?

Unpaid players? $6000 per year players? Sounds like they are being frugal.

US Soccer says minimum four trainings a week but they don't really mean that. They are talking about something different.

                        How does one play(s) ECNL?

Is that like play(s) OSAA? or play(s) FWRL? or play(s) Mt. Hood Challenge?

Usually kids play for a named club or a named school. Sorry you have been taken for a ride.

What the heck does that mean?

Well the trick is your DD has to get off the bench to "play" any of it. So don't concern yourself with such trivial details; you may hurt yourself.

We have received an email from a d1 college coach to come to an elite ID camp this summer. She went to Regionals in Arizona in January, is it possible that this coach saw her there or is it more likely that it's just a mass email? Just an honest question hoping for honest replies, as unlikely as that is on this site.
Be prepared for many more mass emails in your future. Even lousy players get them. Camps help fluff the budgets of college; the more players the better. the better camps are very small and one day only. Go to ones at schools she's interested in. Stay away from the giant ones that go on forever (no one show well playing 8 hours a day for 3 days). She's still a bit young. Have her try a camp or two next summer to get some experience.
