You don't get admitted to that university just because you play soccer...Also, just so you are clear, you are not playing against "academy teams" but rather are just making yourselves a part of the Seattle area DA program much like the one that is here. Not until you reach the older ages are you truly playing the other MLS "academy" and top club academy teams on the west coast. Riding a bus to play snohomish DA and the rest are going to be a waste of a day. I would think you would be able to schedule some friendlies against Seattle united or crossfire premier (which really are the only 2 clubs worth that drive) if you are the mighty Timbers
Truth here. That is why everyone is looking at this traveling DA for 05s as a bit of a joke espescially when the competition in OYSA premiere is still good in this age group. Sounds like the team is being formed to satisfy a rich dad and his private coach.

Why do girls parents always step on boys threads?

Because USSF cares about girls soccer as much as FIFA does. Same holds for the clubs. Priority will always go to the boys' teams.

Big deal. My kids have played a lot of those teams plus teams at Dallas Cup, Surf Cup and friendlies set up for them in San Diego, L.A., and Davis. All experiences are good for players.

And everyone wonders why people have the feelings that they do about Timbers youth soccer and the alliance teams??? Newsflash for the entire Timbers organization: it's time to think long and hard about these types of deals. While there will always be people blinded by the idea of having the Timbers badge on their jersey who will show up, you have compromised the integrity of your "academy" teams and your player selection process. And as a result, your performance in every measurable has suffered and been deplorable. it's time for you to look in the mirror and make a decision about your entire operation. Your brand is being tarnished from the inside out...

Don't worry, US Soccer opened up DA to Oregon 05s also.. so no one needs to go jumping into some silly traveling DA environment with rich dad and his son's private Brazilian trainer. If you want DA stay at your home club if it has access and then think about Timbers mls academy when it's the real thing at u15.

Elaboration - Oregon 05s now have their own division in US DA. No longer combined.

So 04, 05, 06 teams for the little DA clubs.
