You mean every other week (USSDA requires 1 match per weekend) when it comes to Seattle travel, the Timbers' teams will get home matches 50% of the time too. Additionally and as announced, all teams will be playing a year up in Washington.
The biggest benefit, should my son's name be on the list next week, I see is the 4x per week training in the only real enviornment in Portland. Not to say there aren't other qualified coaches outside the academy, but the environment is very different. Unless you've experienced it with an older child, it's quite different from the other paid situations here in town. The simple truth is, the environments are not even comparable for the serious player.

Also totally gross that Timbers are allowing any parent to pay for a coach just so his son can be on the team. Why aren't players going based on merit instead of who daddy wants his son playing with? If it's the same parent and ex-ADF coach I heard the nepotism almost destroyed that team.
