A note to all Westside mouthpieces- when condemn others for their opinions and observations all you do is strengthen our disdain for you and your club. You are doing nothing but supporting the issue we all have with your "culture and way". Learn some humility and take in the opinions and learn and grow from them rather than becoming defensive and going on The attack.

I know just how you feel and agree.

I just hate the culture and attitude of the Golden State Warriors..but not as much aqs I hate the New England Patriots culture.

I just wish more people would focus on deflate gate and finally teach those cheaters a lesson .

When I mentioned culture fit, it comes from my own perceptions that have been developed over ten years of watching competitive youth soccer from the sidelines.
What I don't care for is what I view as a win at all costs approach. Recruit. Recruit certain types of players.
Focus on State Cup.
There doesn't appear to be any code at Westside. The parents on the sidelines are more often than. It, terrible. Engage refs. Engage opposing players. Engage opposing parents. Isn't there a code?

I could go on with what I think is negative about that club, but instead...look at the positives of either BSC or FC.
Positive coaching Alliance.
Play the right way. Wins will take care of themselves.
Player development.
Parent code of conduct
Player code of conduct
Making soccer accessible to everyone.

So I mentioned we'd be moving clubs. After competing against local clubs for a fair number of years, several I was impressed with, and one gave me a consistently bad vibe.

As I have mentioned everything I learned about another club was the result of being on the sidelines of a kiddie soccer game, only as a spectator who was there to watch my kids team get clobbered by a stronger opponent.

This experience taught me a great deal about my feelings about teams that were better coached, stacked with better players and especially about other parents sideline antics.

Since I never played the game I really never understood what is means when athletes say what happens on the field, is left on the field.

I have no clue about the following:

Positive coaching Alliance.
Play the right way. Wins will take care of themselves.
Player development.
Parent code of conduct
Player code of conduct
Making soccer accessible to everyone.

Well, the Warriors "culture" begins and ends with Steph Curry. But Golden State's NBA franchise is a PROFESSIONAL team in their sport's most prestigious league--of course they are entirely focused on winning. It's what the paying customers in the stands expect.

Youth soccer is another matter.

Difference is they operate with a spec of class as an organization and have rules that they follow just like the rest of the league unlike the Timbers and their alliance teams- especially Westside. Rules and situations all too often are skewed to your own benefit at everyone else's expense. Any info out on Timbers Academy new 04 and 05 DA teams? I.e. Who are the coaches of both age groups and will all their games be in Washington?

Rumor is that the 06/07 Little DA kick arounds and orientation meetings are getting low interest and participation. Clubs and Coaches contacting players from their past to help build teams. Anyone have any feedback of what they have experienced with this younger age?

So they are calling it "elite regional". Who are the elite teams they are playing in Washington? Aren't the 05s staying 9v9 again?

There are ten with 05 up in Washington although none of them have pooled together top kids in the state to form a super travel team so not sure where the Timbers heads are at on this one other then burning out a bunch of 11 & 12 year olds.
