So who got axed from TA with the merger of the 04’s and 05’s? Rumor has it that westside will be getting JB, ML and RTR back..... Also adding a few from fc pdx, the big one being AP going there to be coached by Mark so he is doing something right...Westside will be formidable if games ever get played....

That's more insulting than it is flattering.

Tryouts are over, folks. The time to shank a rival coach by pretending to be a disgruntled parent, is over.

The coach is awful, he always plays the same game with his favorite players, your kids will practice with 2 or 3 teams at a time, you will see the coach act completely inappropriate at games (especially against Eastside) and if your kids goal is to play college D1 soccer and he’s not a favorite you will be in trouble. This club is seriously the worse. Why would they have the same coach for 4 years in a row? That alone is concerning. You can ignore my warning but your son will regret it. Also being developed by Cony is impossible, he is probably even worse than Marc as a coach. If parents don’t take a stand and stop paying to get nothing from a coach and club it will continue.

Outdated coaching staff with outdated curriculum. It’s
WST are like a time machine that takes you back to the late 80’s/early 90’s with their coaching methods and style of play.

My son had the great opportunity to be coached be Marc and I must say, Marc is one of the best (if not the best) coaches that my son ever had in the Portland Metro area. Marc coached my son at Eastside for a couple of years before we moved to SoCal. Marc is tough on the boys and demands discipline, which is not for all people, but I thoroughly enjoyed his style of coaching. Nowadays you see too many coaches with the “new” mentality that everyone is a winner and that you can only be positive, which is a load of crap and less you want to raise a bunch of pansies! Marc was not afraid to raise his voice, single boys out who are not giving a full effort and I as a parent welcome to that. Marx is also one of the few coaches in the Portland Metro area who have a national youth championship to their name. If we were to ever move back to the Portland area, Marc would be the first coach we would go to.

It had been a minute since the westside hate was strong on here. You folks just expect them to be good again.
The grifter clubs are glad to see it tick back up and get the focus off of them though
