While I can appreciate your myopic determination to be right, I will go ahead and listen to my Son and his club. I am pretty sure OPFC is fine. I doubt you could say the same for your Son's club. Do not worry though, at some point in the future your son's club will be back on the field and will probably play OPFC. We will see who is right then. Until that time, remember to stay safe... What I find hillarious (aside from your mindless banter) is that this is a 2005 thread, and you are speaking of the past. The 2005 team at Crossfire/OPFC/WUSC has mostly all been together for several years now, and have been a very good team. I know for a fact they have countlessly besten every other club at this age group...to include my Son's club...and I guarantee yours as well. But, byball means keep braying donkey. It is entertaining to listen to your anonymous and baseless comments.

Timbers local youth academy Club team is a much, much better team, no argument..
According to OYSA record keeping (State Cup Championships 2019,'18 & '17)
The following championship club teams are better by virtue of actually proving to be the best in open State Cup usys/oysa competition:

*ETFC 05B Marseille Black NLNC
*4-H 05B Joga Jr
*FC Portland 05B NAVY

*OYSA State Cup Champions

What are you missing?? Any type of fact based evidence in the form of a tangible State Cup title in the last 4 years. Unlike you I'm not trying to promote any club as better, I'm providing evidence that actually supports who the best have been documented in championship cup play.

OPFC is a good club, and were the DA "champs" last season. They also won NWNL. Unlike many of their competitors, who have lost top players to Timbers Academy, OPFC has only lost one that I'm aware of (and he was a good one). Being the only dominant club in Clackamas County, they've had a stable roster, and they vastly improved their coaching this past season when Gordon Ramsay took his knives and left.

What will happen this next season when the reverse rapture occurs, I don't know. LY is definitely one of the Timbers' keepers. Whether other jettisoned players will return to their old clubs, go to UPDX, or do something else, I have no idea--Covid19 has put a stopper on this process, like everything else. The weakness of OPFC is they generally don't attract talent from beyond ClackCo.

For starters, you gave yourself away as Timber's alliance honk, and you made me (and no doubt others) laugh out loud with your "local youth academy club" comment. Clearly, you are either not familiar with the 05 TA team over the years, or you are too close to it to really see. TA has been an absolute joke at the 05 level, and sadly that is not an insult but a fact. As TA would never scrimmage against any of the local teams (makes sense) we cannot say (and neither can you) that they are/were "way, way better." But, I can understand why you threw that out, as low hanging fruit is how you live your life.

It looks like TS isn't waiting for July to start up again.

As for your last question, ADF was the strongest 05 club last season, though OPFC was right there with them, and neither were able to defeat the other in two head-to-head matches. OPFC is a far better defensive team; ADF is more dangerous with the ball.

FC, Westside, and WashT were all much stronger prior to being looted by the Timbers. The first two were in the next tier down this season, and WashT is no longer playing OYSA ball due to the different high school season in Washington state, so are only here as a historical footnote.

UPDX and its merry band of TA castoffs has become a respectable side in the age group. Not one of the top ones, but a team that would easily be a state cup quarterfinalist.

ETFC is still the state champs, though would benefit strongly from a coaching change. (Jackholes like the ETFC 05 coach generally don't last long in competitive soccer environments where players can change clubs when they get tired of being screamed at; but since ETFC has no competition in the area, the 05s down there are stuck with him. Unless they are good enough to play up....)

CFC was the club most looted by TA this past season, though seemed to benefit from the implosion of 4H.

The bottom line about the 05 age group: OPFC was one of the top two last year, but there are about 7-8 teams out there that can beat them on a given day, and have. And reverse rapture is coming...

Eugene and 4H were after thoughts before DA and I will give fc Portland props for theit title the year before DA it was a good squad with good to great goalie play in the small goals. OPFC by and large has been at the top of the table for this age group for the last 4-5 years and has beat every other team at some point. Reality is there has been 2-3 teams every year that could be considered the best and only 1 team (OPFC) has been in that conversation every year which nobody else can say and my son plays for updx

Sorry, but one of the run of the mill local clubs that was never gutted by the Timbers DA side is called a very average one, year after year. They are the best at being devoid of top talent needed at the TA. Just facts.
