Who said anything about being better than DA? The last comment that compared Timbers Academy to the Oregon DA suggested there was probably a one goal of expected margin between Westside and TA. Given recent common opponents, that doesn't sound out of line.

Anyways, your recap.

Another excellent matchup between two fine defensive teams. WT started stronger out of the gate, and KN opened the scoring when he poked in a fine cross from HDN. Midway through the first half, FC tied it when they were able to disorganize the westside defense giving AP an open shot from the top of the box.

Things got chippy in the second. ML was brought down in the box on a free kick (no penalty awarded) and had to momentarily come out. Westside delivered a hard foul in retaliation later; the offender was lucky to escape a booking. FC probably had the better chances in the second, with at least one 1-on-1 with the keeper sent over the bar, and another shot cleared off the line. Westside had an excellent shot at the other end, with a blast drawing a fingertip save from AK. But the whistle blew with neither side finding a winner.

I look to see ML separate from the pack even more as the spring season unfolds.

Just to be clear, AP has scored 2 last week, and 1 today. Not sure who scored for Crossfire, but ML did not score today according the recap. Doesn't look like ML is separating from AP Westside honk.

TA got outplayed handily and basically only played their “starters” (I would guess the aggregate sub minutes for entire game was around 25 min) while seattle united gave all their rostered substitute players atleast 25-30 minutes. TA is a laughing stock to those of us up here in Seattle. And just to clarify, I have a really good friend in Portland whose son plays soccer and was informed recently that TA parents like to come onto this message board and run their mouth and act like they are relevant- they are a joke so everyone knows down there in oregon

I thought that the match was thoroughly entertaining. AP & AH battling for 80 minutes was great. Those are two very strong players at their positions!

5-2 Wa. They seen to have a new player up front. He had a hat trick. We tired in the 2nd half because of limited subs. This score could have been uglier but Wa missed on some opportunities. Looked like a different team from the fall.

I'm the guy that asked about updx and TA scores.

Not the guy squawking about the scoring title; I could care less about that. I'd rather WT have well rounded scoring than depend on ML or anyone else; the fact that nobody else on the team can consistently finish shots is imho a problem.

Non biased outsider here...I would agree with you, and say that the same is probably true for all the DA clubs.
