I have decided to dial down the recaps though--it was getting a bit weird last spring, with a few posters here trying to figure out who I am (it was the first time, and hopefully the last, that someone has ever called me a "metrosexual"), and one or two remarks that could be construed as threatening. I still will participate in this forum, I just will (mostly) do so anonymously rather than pseudonymously.
Also, the name "Copa Dad" is kind of obsolete this year anyway.

BSC is a decent club for the average player but it has never had any competitive u15 and up teams. As a club they have only won one State cup.. ever...and No college placements. So if your kid just wants to play JV and then fade into the soccer sunset, BSC is a fit. Looks like the ex-Copa dad decided to jump ship after BSC surprisingly almost beat them in State cup.

* They play a fast, aggressive style of soccer that gives "technical" clubs like last year's Copa fits, and also is effective against many of the bootball teams they faced in OYSA's second division. (OTOH, were they to have played e.g. 4H in State Cup, I'll bet a beer that BSC would have been crushed--good passing teams whose players know how to get open will beat them).
* They are a bit expensive compared to their peers.
* Not sure if not having a top HS program is really a knock--a lot of players drop out of soccer in high school. Or only play OSAA soccer in the fall, doing other things (including other sports) in the spring.

Agree with above. BSC is not known to develop any technical players but they develop good passing teams that do usually fade out by high school. I suppose that's what makes it odd they even have the little DA program. If they lose it at u15 those kids will just go back to OYSA or probably give up club soccer altogether.

Doesn't TA training finally start next week? Heard only three days a week? Is the 4th a "homework" day?

A legit criticism of both clubs is that (again, at this age) they de-emphasize things like tactical organization, passing, off-ball movement, in a way that occasionally resembles streetball. In the State Cup game last spring, Copa was able to overwhelm BSC with it's tactical skill, despite having a disadvantage in the style matchup (Copa's worst defeat last year came to a Michigan club that was a more-skilled version of BSC).
In WT's view of things, the "higher-order" skills can and should be taught later, when kids are older--and that it's far harder to teach a teenager proper technique than it is to teach a grade-schooler or middle-schooler. Thus, that's what Copa/DA teams at Westside like to focus on.
A lot of BSC's limitations are simply due to being a smaller club with a less established pedigree. But an approach of focusing kids with athletic ability and tactics might run into trouble at the older ages when the "technical" kids are trained in tactics as well, and the "tactical" kids find themselves at a technical disadvantage--and their brain development has progressed that the muscle memory skills needed to become a master of technique are harder to acquire.
(Totally unscientific--but it seems that learning to manipulate a soccerball is like learning to speak a foreign language or ride a bike--far easier to do when you're a young kid).

But with that stipulation, I agree with tou.
