No and Yes. I was the poster and No, I definitely don't have kids playing today, and Yes, I do go to the OYSA site to see whats new and where to find games. Although my kids are in college, I still like to watch games once in a while. -I'm trying to grasp the year age groups since my son and daughter were from the U10-U19 times.
This forum used to be okay to go to when trying to enjoy discussion. There was a better one created by a really good guy out of Washington. Sadly he passed away and now youth soccer in this area is left with TS. The rivalries have always been good for soccer and club options for kids.Too bad this forum has gone downhill and leaves very little room for good discussion and information sharing.
I think we can all agree that none of the club's are perfect or without fault. The best you can hope for is to find a club, with coaches that care, are qualified, and that know how to develop character. Then, in the end, your child will be able to look back fondly on the experience.

I get it...But, hopefully you can realize that a lot has changed in Oregon with youth soccer, and the fact that you just arbitrarily chose the 05 boys threads does appear suspicious and somewhat sketchy. Right or wrong, people on here have very srrong feelings about Westside and FCP. And just so we are clear, both programs have changed a lot over the past 5 years. And, unfortunately, not for the better. I cannot say that either club is directly responsible for the decline, as I am an outsider. I can say that I know parents at both clubs, with both boys and girls, at different ages. So, what I hear is from them.

I visit TS every so often, so not "back" from the good ol' days. Yesterday and the present are the good ol' days for all. I read most of the post topics so, no, I didn't go only to 05 Boys. Nothing odd. Nothing has changed when I get to watch games. I'm looking forward to the high school games at THPRD and PCC too. When my kids are in town they sometimes watch games too. I see some familiar coaches and families I know and I hear good and bad comments. -Still positive and negative folks; nothing has changed in that respect.
I've played and I've coached so it is refreshing to just sit back and enjoy games. I asked questions that still go unanswered. Players and coaches change clubs.
So what changes have you personally seen over the past five years? That would put your interests at an older age level or during the youngers development years. What changes for both clubs? You've lumped them together so it's piqued my curiosity.
BTW, supporters of the game whose kids have moved on, are still know to donate money, time, or talent. Please consider what us "older" folks can and do contribute to these clubs.

Actually my kids first played for LO and FC. We switched to Westside when we moved-my kids' club and team choices were doing, not ours. Like I said before, I watch games because I played almost my entire life, and I coached. Now I'm retired and enjoy seeing any games at fields nearby. I check the OYSA site to see what I can when I can.

2) As such, bracket assignments have not yet been released by OYSA, even in preliminary form to club officials.
3) Even ignoring 1 and 2, we don't talk about non-premier FTMP in this forum. (Nor do we talk about U10 and younger). General discussions, OK; boasting about results, no.

2). Are you the administrator of this board? Curious because you seem to be making and enforcing rules.
3). 99.99% of visitors to this page are here to talk about girls soccer. You crazy 05 boys parents are the outliers.
