Hahaha..... I just checked out the game report form CFC vs FCP and it shows that a player who has not even been part of the club since December played all 70 minutes, along with an '06 who didn't even play with the '05's on Saturday. What a mess. Lol

The real mess is you spending too much time looking for a dark hole.
These reports are often inaccurate. Your first hint would be that it shows CFC winning on two own goals.
#17 hasn’t been with FC for quite a while and contrary to the game report didn’t play a minute much less all 70.

It is lame, and honestly there is no need to call anybody anything just because you disagree with them. Why are you so defensive about FC? It is no secret that they will win DA season. It is also not a secret that that the team is thin on talent and has made winning their priority, as opposed to development. Just quietly ride out the next month and enjoy a good (although controversial) season. Wait until next fall when your team is struggling before you start braying and calling everybody donkey.

There is at least one other who uses donkey, one who uses azz (but don’t see much of him anymore with WA T losing games), and a variety of other dumbass type names being thrown around. Yeah, FC should be a little weaker next year as we expect a player or two to move up to TA. We will also probably lose some or all of the kids from east of the river. New coach is very good. I’ve read that y’all don’t think development goes on at FC, but I think that’s pretty naive and really just based on having a couple of goal scorers who happen to be physically more developed than most of the kids they play against. I guess we will see how we do without the so called controversial players next year. For now we will just thoroughly enjoy the championship of the DA league. Can’t wait to get that trophy and the one for the golden boot too!

Why would anyone east of the river leave this great FC Team for the bad United Pdx Team? DA is over after next year and BSC/United/NEU have always been historically weak in the high school years. That’s not going to change because they have a new logo and put a cheap college placement link on their website. Seems odd to walk out on a good thing.

We understand that some of the NEU families don’t like the commute out to Hillsboro. Those folks are probably giving the United club a good luck. We do think that some will recognize a good thing and stay. We will all know soon!

Because driving out to Liberty sucks?

You would think that a club called "FC Portland" would actually be located in, you know, Portland. I know that "FC West Union" doesn't have the same ring to it, but for HS soccer there are plenty of other options closer to Portland. PCU is good at these ages. Eastside is still good at these ages. Even dreaded Westside is a closer commute if practice isn't at Powerlines.

And there's also the matter that FC's success this past year is driven this year by a trio of bigger-than-average players who dominate games on size alone. Two up front, and one in the goal. All three are skilled, don't get me wrong, but sooner or later they won't be the biggest hombres on the field.

Now, United PDX needs to do more than hang up a shingle, build a nice modern website, and send teams to vacation tournaments in Europe and strut like they're getting personal training sessions from Pep and Zidane. The proof there will be in the pudding.

But I could see FC and UPDX starting to swap their talent pools somewhat, as BSC becomes less focused on the West Hills and more focused on all of Portland, and FC becomes another Washington County club, signing up all the kids whose mommies got pissed off by Jaime.

Yeah, you are a rocket scientist on that one. Because how many New York teams actually play in New Jersey. Then there’s ManUnited who don’t play in Manchester. The list is long, my friend and you will have to take your shots at FC on the usual stuff like, the only reason they are so good is that they have three big kids. Oh wait, you used that one too.
Maybe the teams that scorched you in Seattle and San Diego didn’t have big, athletic kids on their teams, but the teams we played there did. Get a grip on reality and be glad your little fella is exposed to this, it will make him better. In a way, you could say that playing against FC is developing your players.

I am wondering how much size really has to do with their success?
From what I have seen they also seem to anticipate well, move without the ball and make good decisions. Please don't tell me that their brains have developed quicker than others and will soon not have that advantage either.

You neglected to mention at least one other difference: while FC was beaten by a more athletic team in San Diego there was no constant post-loss bitching about how big they were. No excuses. Yeah, we got beat. Wanna see a boat race? Watch FC play Crossfire. Fun times. Of course, the price you pay for that is having to listen to all of the excuses afterwards.
