As for the identification value of RTC/ODP, US Soccer has replaced this pathway to the national team with the GDA. But the Timbers will still keep this going as long as they can to milk as much money out of the low information folks as possible.

No better way to get your name out there than to check out the other side of the fence with no commitments or accusations of jumping clubs.
No one knows yet if ECNL or GDA will be the top in 2017 or 2018. Good idea to get to know both.
Each parent needs to research to see if gaining a little knowledge or style of play is best for their DD.
Just looking at it as another camp.
