So talent has and will continue to migrate south because the horribly run programs in SW WA can't provide enough competiveness or exposure to their high level athletes. And as far as the "cancer families" comment, we all know that to be code for "I'm jealous of those people and it irritates me that they act better than we are." Deal with it. Stay at Harmony or King's Way or Prairie or Ridgefield HS and be the best of the rest.
After all, if these programs are "horribly run", then why do they seem to consistently supply ECNL with good players?

Sometimes the wake up and make the move at U12, sometimes they don't wake up until U14, but eventually all the good ones leave WashT to become better players.

Boys 98 State Champions
Washington Timbers 98 Boys won the Washington State Championship Cup over the weekend. Beat PacNW in the QF, Seattle United Copa in the Semi, and WPFC in the final. These are all teams that would compete with Timbers Academy and likely win most times.

And if you actually follow soccer, you would also know that RCL1 is and has always been, better than any Oregon division... by a lot. Not close. Girls, boys, all ages, always.
I have no idea if this team would beat the Timbers Academy team, but I do know that many of the top players are not doing Academy. I'd like to see that matchup.

No matter what, there will be ugly people bashing here. Good job to the Timbers 98 team. That is an amazing accomplishment.
