Even if Oregon doesn't get a DA team, ECNL is toast. There is no doubt where a DA option exists, that's where the talent will go. Once that happens, ECNL fades. And even if Oregon only has ECNL as an option, it still becomes second fiddle because all your competition will have lost it's top players.

Yes this makes sense. No reasonable person can argue this.

Except that the DA will be 2nd fiddle almost everywhere. Just watch. That's if your DD is still playing soccer 2 years from now...

Not possible. DA has backing of all the big boys. That's it. Game set match. Thanks for playing.

Won't get enough top talent unless the

              1. Fund travel.
              2. Allow high school.

Otherwise why would anyone do it?

A girls DA is only going to appeal to a very small number of top talent

If they don't allow girls to play in high school, then whoever put this together does not understand girls. For a lot of the elite players they might not want to play all four years, but there are way too many benefits to playing in high school to give it up.

DA is an elite option only for the super elite who have a shot at making at least a national camp. OR doesn't really have enough super elite players to field a team even with a 2 year age span. Any GDA teams in OR will be at least 75% "filler" that have zero shot at a YNT. There will be plenty of girls who can safely say "No thanks" to GDAP and play HS soccer and ECNL or whatever.

                      Because it's the best.

In that case 90% would pick DA because it's a guarantee D1 scholarship whereas ECNL guarantees nothing but debt.

The DA will not take off. No high school is a big deal.

In some big markets they will get some good players but markets like Portland too many girls will do high school so the pool will be very watered down.

The GDAP pool will be extremely small so most players won't have to worry about NOT playing HS.

Sorry, if GDAP comes to Oregon (just like ECNL), Oregon GDAP players won't be guaranteed any D1 offers. Our player pools will remain the same. Oregon will only have 0-2 top D1 quality players/year and a couple handfuls going to one of the several hundred D1 schools. Now, if your dd makes a CA DAP team, you might be on a definite D1 track.
