And they'll have incredible travel distances because none of the top clubs in the high density areas are interested in joining the DA.

Only the top ten clubs in the country have been signed up so far. Everyone else will follow.

BS. They'd have a revolt on their hands and they know it.

If you think that families won't flock to US Soccer Development Academy for girls, then you don't understand the psychology of girls soccer parents.

They need to subsidize the travel costs if they want to be successful long term. I am not sure how that would work.

Keep dreaming. Top clubs aren't interested. They've seen how the boys DA has worked out and are staying as far away as they can.

There is no money and no subsidies. It will be MORE expensive than ECNL. Jump in if you want to pay top dollar for an OYSA experience.

The best players will do DA. ECNL won't go away but rather will be a 2nd tier option.

Women's National team has huge buzz behind it. That will draw a lot of top talent.

Could you give us the names of the top ten clubs signed up for girls DA?

I really don't believe many top girls will give up high school soccer. Some will as always but I think it is in the 2 to 3 range.

                          Unfortunately, you are right.

GDAP will make girls soccer worse not better

                            From FLA thread:

10yrs of DA system have utterly failed.

The belief that you can build a strong national soccer team by focusing only on the top 1% is so misguided.

Losing to Guatamala is NOT Klinsmans fault.
It is the fault of the elitist pay-to-play soccer system that developed a small number of players, while having no concern for trying to strengthen the grassroots of soccer in this country.

This is all on the DA system. Not Klinsman.

Yes. Let's copy it for the girls. Great idea.

How has it failed? Based on one game? The men's team is doing quite well considering the comparative competition in the men's side is much better than on the women's. Well over half of all women soccer players in the world are from the US. The women's competition just isn't as good...yet.

Grassroots efforts are spearheaded by parents, not national level coaches. Don't wait for a national team program to do your job for you. Get out there and coach a neighborhood team, start a low cost club, host free trainings, etc.
