At one point the ECN league was top players but it is watered down now. The DA system will create a place for the top players. Ecn league will still be a good option for all but the top players.

The DA will draw a tremendous amount of top talent. Love or hate them US Soccer has a lot of draw.

The women's usnt generating a lot of revenue right now in sponsorships and licensing. That is what will make this viable financially.

Of course it's watered down - that's one of the biggest complaints about it. Some clubs need to go. Problem is, to make a viable league without too much travel there needs to be a decent number of clubs per region, and they let in some clubs that ideally they'd wouldn't have without the geography issue. Pick your poison I guess. But at a minimum they should review the under performers to see if other clubs in a similar area might be better suited and are interested in joining. If they'd done that awhile ago they might not be facing this pressure now.

If "tremendous" is about 10%, then you may be right. And it will draw 0% in the NW as it's not coming to these parts any time soon. Look where the 48 players called to the U14 WNT camp are from. It's not from the NW.

Not if there's nobody else to play for 1000's of miles. They want clusters of top clubs within short distances - which leaves out the NW.

They've already stated 4 trainings and 1 game per week from Sept to June. That's not tourney play.

Try to keep up. Queen April said last week on Glenn Crooks' show they would need to play 2 games on weekend because of the incredible travel distances with will have between teams. Also one of reasons why they will need to significantly relax substitution rules. Read more. Post less.
