Ecnl is going bye bye

Right now we have 2 ECNL clubs that have abut 95% of the top talent. The other 5% is scattered around the state. 0% is at Thorns Academy. I'd say that 95% at just two clubs is not diluted, rather it's highly consolidated. Best thing for the girls is to eliminate Thorns Academy just so the odd decent player doesn't get misled into thinking that Thorns is actually elite and wasting a year there like several did last year.

Several kids lost their junior year of recruiting because of the Thorns. Now they have to scramble to try and find a spot to play in college. At least with ECNL kids had the opportunity to play in front college coaches. Thorns should be ashamed of the lies about what tournaments these kids were going to play in.

I still don't think that they even want to deal with girls soccer but we will see when the thorns get the DA. I can't wait to see them cringe when they only charge $500/player

There is no "everything else". OYSA Premier is for "B" players. ODP is made up almost entirely of TA "B" teamers. Thorns is even worse than that; none of the top talent returned to Thorns this year. NONE.

Just like Thorns Academy was only going to be $500. The new DA, if it ever happens which is highly unlikely, will be MORE expensive than ECNL.

If you look closely at 40% of the clubs that now have ECNL you would know that they are not good enough.

ECNL is nothing more than a recruiting business. There are other businesses that do the same. You can play for FCPDX Navy or their ECNL team they both have the same underqualified coaches for both.
