Best thing for the girls is to eliminate Thorns Academy just so the odd decent player doesn't get misled into thinking that Thorns is actually elite and wasting a year there like several did last year.

Some stay with local clubs, some with WA ECNL, some Thorns, some ODP, some who just bowed out because too expensive... Even if you were right, which you are not, 2 ECNL teams in Oregon is way too dilutive not counting everything else. We will never advance with your attitude.

Little do you know that the Thorns were offered ECNL but turned it down because the Portland Timbers did not want to invest in the girls program. I still don't think that they even want to deal with girls soccer but we will see when the thorns get the DA. I can't wait to see them cringe when they only charge $500/player

If you look closely at 40% of the clubs that now have ECNL you would know that they are not good enough.
ECNL is nothing more than a recruiting business. There are other businesses that do the same. You can play for FCPDX Navy or their ECNL team they both have the same underqualified coaches for both.
